Lasting a long time!

I’m probably never going to have to buy string ever again with how long this roll is lasting me. I have a house in town with a small front and back yard. I have loaded my trimmer once in the past 4 months sooo… yeah, good string!

Tough, heavy duty line that doesn't break

I have tried quite a few different lines including ones with big names and big prices for heavy duty trimming (I clear the grass out away from trees before mulching with my trimmer). I tried Oregon Platinum (blue color) and Rotary Black Vortex. Neither held up, they break all the time right at the spool forcing me to re-thread it which gets old fast. So far I haven't had that problem with this Shakepeare Pro Titanium Size .105. Its really tough and working well for me. I also like the fact its clear, the broken pieces you end up with after feeding line aren't as obvious laying around.

Lasts a long time

I bought this line to use on my Stihl FS90r. Before using this line I was using the Stihl brand round trimmer line in .095". That line is the worst trimmer line I have ever used. I would fill the head with the line and it would last maybe one time of my yard work. I don't have a very big yard, but I do a lot of edging with it. I figured I would try the Pro Titanium in .105" and it seems to work great and last a long time. I have done my yard 2 times now and haven't had to refill the head. Some people say the .105 is too big, but I think if you are careful with what you are doing you will be fine. Its also nice to be able to take out thicker weeds and brush if I have to and I think it works better for edging. I have heard that a twisted line is better than this pro titanium triangular line. I have heard the the twisted stuff doesn't grab and rip softer grasses out of the ground. I haven't noticed this being a problem but again I try to be pretty careful of what I am doing.

Effective, ends spread. Works as well as other higher priced products.

Cuts great

I like the way this line cuts. It holds up good. When I run into larger stalks I let out a little new line and it cuts right them right down. This line very well, but I might try .105 next time.

Cheap low quality

I have never gone through trimmer line so fast. I am bumping the head what seems like every 20 ft of walking to get more line out.
