Great value for the price
Very much like that I can toast 4 pieces of bread at the same time on different settings. Dislike that it takes longer than expected for it to toast on darker setting. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, it's a great toaster. I have other Krups appliances that I have stood the test of time. I like that this toaster works well with the aesthetic of all my kitchen appliances.

Pretty good but not great
It works ok, but there is a couple of annoying things on the I have. First one is that if you have both sides set exactly the same and push them down at the same time they will never finish at the same time, sometimes minutes apart and there is no rhyme or reason as to which one will finish first. It’s also a pain to clean it. All toasters are a pain but this one is particularly annoying. Other than that it toasts stuff well.

Even toasting but SLOW
Ordered this toaster to replace a 10 year old one. Toasts all kinds of bread (sandwich bread, English Toasting bread, English muffins, bagels, etc) quite evenly. However, it takes several minutes to get anything browned. I have the settings on High (full) and it barely starts the browning process. If you want it mid to darker brown, you have to go into a second cycle. One cycle on high should approach dark brown (or burnt). Love it, but wish it would be more accurate on browning setting (it would have received 5***** if browning was accurate).

Great toaster! Just bought replacement after 8 1/2 years.
I don't usually do reviews but in the process of buying a replacement (primary) toaster I was surprised at how many middling to bad rating this baby got. Bought the first one through Amazon is mid-2014. It has been moved 5 times, one move cross-country. It is beat to heck. Dents in the side and scrapes all over from poor packing. It's like a Timex watch, takes a licking and keeps on toasting. I looks around before buying the replacement, but found nothing to match the features of this one. The slots are nice and long as well as wide. The bagel setting actually toasts the inside of the bagel and warms the outside. It toast wide bread and thick bread. I even put frozen biscuit in the slot to defrost and warm up. I have to use wooden tongs to retrieve them, but it works. No doubt the toaster has been abused. I heat plates on it nearly everyday. That's probably not good for it, but it does a fine job. The only thing wrong with it is the abuse has made the toasting uneven. I can flip the bread and it does fine, I'll move it to the caseta on our house and let it live on, just not in daily use. The toaster has been a workhorse for my family. I hope it is for yours.

I really like this toaster. It does what it is supposed to do and looks good doing it. Easy to clean of finger prints and smudges. Glad I choose this one.

Very, very slow
I think this toaster is built for foreign market. 220 volt ( European current ) toaster that is running on 110 volts ( US current ) makes it half powered and consequently very slow. The 1500 watt rating is with higher current but with 110 volts it produces only 750 watts. Whatever the cause, it is slow to toast. Slowest I have ever owned.

Ok, I guess….
Nice and shiny, which is a plus an minus due to fingerprints. I use it to toast bagels, and on highest setting and clicking the “bagel button” on the toaster. I personally don’t think it toasts enough

Nice toaster but...
I think this is a nice and good "toaster". It look good, and has good feature. One downside I would have to say is: "It is very slow to cook ("grill"). Although the toast is the way you wanted it (light... or darker), still take a long time. Beside that (time to get grill), it is a very good toaster.

Poor Quality
As soon as I took it out of the box I noticed the cheap quality that would not be expected from a Krups brand. The product describes it as stainless steel but it feels like steel coloured plastic. It has settings from 1-6 but unless it was on 6 it didn’t toast the bread. Very slow . I tried the defrost setting for frozen bread and it took so long I finally gave up and changed to back to regular toast just to eat my breakfast before lunch time. Sent it back.
