Very pleased with the product so far.

We purchased this 4 piece fabric luggage set to replace 2 large fabric suitcases. We were attracted by the price and decided to purchase the set. For the most part, we are impressed with the quality of the material used in their construction. The 4 pieces come in descending size and are lightweight and expandable, with extendable pull handles. The largest bag can be used to store the other three pieces. The only real drawback is they have plastic zippers, where metal would probably be more durable. We had to lubricate the zipper on the smallest bag to get it to open and close without jamming. You also get generic locks for the bags, though if you want better security, you may want to buy a higher quality lock and key set. You also get a workmanship guarantee for the bags. Hopefully this set will last as long as the bags they are replacing.

Good quality for the price.

These are not top quality but will work fine for the small amount of traveling we do and with 3 suitcases and a bag they give us lots of options to choose from. Kind of wish I had gotten a set with 4 wheels but I couldn't pass on the awesome price.

Mixed Feelings and Missing Flames

I recently purchased the Rockland Journey Softside Upright Luggage Set, and boy do I have some thoughts! First off, let's talk about the design. The charcoal color looks sleek and professional, which was great for my business trip. However, I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed that the luggage didn't come with flames painted on the side like the name "Rockland Journey" implies. I was really hoping that my luggage would give off a "bad boy" vibe, but I guess I'll just have to settle for looking like a regular old adult. Now, onto the actual functionality of the luggage. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with how much these bags can expand! I managed to fit my entire wardrobe into the largest bag (although I do have to admit that I had to sit on it to get it to close). The smaller bags were perfect for carrying my shoes and toiletries, but I did have a bit of trouble finding a spot for my inflatable dinosaur costume. I mean, it's not like I was planning on wearing it on the plane or anything, but it would have been nice to have the option. One issue that I did have with these bags is that the zippers can be a bit finicky. On one occasion, I found myself pulling on the zipper so hard that I accidentally ripped off the entire handle. I guess I'll have to start doing more bicep curls at the gym if I want to use these bags without fear of destroying them. Overall, I have mixed feelings about the Rockland Journey Softside Upright Luggage Set. On one hand, they're spacious and look pretty good. On the other hand, they don't have flames on them and the zippers are a bit delicate. I'd give them 2 out of 5 stars, which is a shame because I was really hoping for something with a bit more pizzazz. Color much different from picture

The luggage set is very nice and well worth the price. However, I was very disappointed the actual color is a light teal blue, not the pictured royal blue that I wanted.

Good Luggage Great Price

Good looking set. Appears to be well made, after a couple trips no issues. No rips, zippers and wheels fine. Wheels aren't spinners but for the low price of the set I'm good with it.

Nicer than expected but too big and thin.

I was willing to try these on our trip with Southwest Airlines, but 2 of the 4 pcs would need checked. It looked like the 2 smaller ones & tote were small enough to carry on, but with the handle and wheels the 24" was actually 25.5" tall. The back is thin as to be expected at this price. It did have an interior liner to keep stuff falling out if it the outer back ripped during transit. The compartments we're large and the front was really nice, but with .3 out of every 100,000 (30,000) checked bags reporting theft, we need to carry on as much as possible. This luggage just wouldn't allow that. I would also worry it'd be easy to cut into. The tote was roomier than expected. All toiletries would most likely fit inside.

Waste of money

Wouldn't recommend bought them as a present for my sons 21st birthday and the large is only one we have used back in February as its ripped already son doesn't over pack it100.00 wasted as will have to get a new one for next year

Hasn't ripped yet!

They are a little on the weaker side, but we've used all of this luggage for about a year now. So far, nothing has ripped or torn and it has lasted! We've travelled a lot with them and stuffed them to the brim, so we'll see how long they last!

Dead of Arrival - Broken Slide Handle

Bought this set a few months ago as we were planning a trip in the future. They day we packed, I discovered that the handle of my suite case, the smaller of the two, did not want to slide IN and/or OUT. The handle on the larger and the smallest one, worked fine. Given that the handle not sliding would cause problems, it took me 45 minutes of time I didn't have, (we were being picked up by a shuttle to take us to the airport) to remove the same piece of plastic from the smallest suit case and use it after removing the piece that was broken. If anyone at the factory had checked to make sure that ALL Handles would slide IN and OUT, a lot of last minute panic could have been avoided

You get what you pay for

At first sight, great deal. But once we got to the airport issues became visible. Poor quality when some got bent and damaged on their first voyage. Others were not able to be left in a vertical position, they were tipping over so I had to put them against the wall.
