The finish on my old front door lock was failing. Looked around for a replacement and really liked the look of this one. I also like that it's secure. I installed the lock portion of this fairly easily and it works great. Only drawback - the bottom of my old handset was screwed into the front side of the door, but the screw didn't go all the way through the inner side of the door. This set does go all the way through, with a fastener to attach on the inside to hold it in place. I'm honestly terrified to drill all the way though for fear I'll get it in the wrong spot and have a hole in my door so, guess I'll hire a professional to install it. :(

If I could assign a negative rating to this bottom doorknob, I would. I spent two hours repainting my door to prepare for the installation of new doorknobs. Everything was going well until I tackled the bottom handle. After making sure the Inner Latch was correctly positioned with the bevel facing the door, I secured the screws and attempted to install the handle bolt through the latching system. Despite the lack of clear instructions, I eventually managed to get the bolt in place, although the latching system didn't seem to work properly. I then tightened the Interior Cylinder and secured the bottom handle bolt, only to find that the latch wouldn't come out after I pushed the handle down to open it. I removed all the screws in an attempt to fix the problem, but things went from bad to worse when I found that the handle's internal rectangular pin couldn't be pulled out of the latch system. After struggling for fifteen minutes, trying different methods such as using a screwdriver to move the latch system, I finally gave up and forcefully yanked the handle off, damaging the latch system in the process. I will end up going to the "local" hardware store to buy a replacement handle, but it certainly won't be a Schlage. What a frustrating experience! You should consider buying your door handle hardware locally so you can get local support for these kinds of situations. Note: This review was re-written by ChatGPT. You would have had a good laugh at how poorly I wrote the original text. I was so upset. :)

Really Nice Schlage Handle/ Deadbolt Kit
Schlage Camelot Single Cylinder And Deadbolt kit is a 5 star product. Took 1 star off for missing parts. It replaces a 30 year Schlage kit. Today’s version is much more substantial in feel. The sound the deadbolt makes is outstanding compared to the previous Schlage. There were issues during install- missing pin wrench (according to part list and my door model). Of two part bags, one was opened not taped like the other. The biggest challenge was widening the existing door holes to accommodate the larger outside deadbolt lock itself and the bolt. Also both deadbolt and handle lock had to be moved closer to the edge of the door meaning modifying the door. So the main work Sand time was spent modifying the door. Not an easy task to a regular home owner. Overall though, I’m very happy with the final results. I did try calling Schlage using 1-800 number about the missing part but gave up after 1/2 hour waiting on the phone.

It looks good and It feels high quality, but it need some change to get 5-star rating. The problem is that the inside handle style is not consistent with the Schlage F60 V CAM 619 GEO Camelot style. The inside handle should NOT be with a round plate but it should be with a decorative square Camelot plate ( like the plate for the Schlage F170 GEO 619 CAM Camelot Collection Georgian Decorative Trim Knob, Satin Nickel. ) I have a double entry door. I ordered for the left door panel this handle set but I made the mistake to order the F170 GEO 619 CAM Camelot dummy handle for the right door panel and it does not match the round handle on the left door panel. So I had to order again the round Schlage F170GEO619 Georgian Dummy Knob, Satin Nickel to make them look alike. The correct thing for the supplier to do is to make the inside handle consistent with the Camelot collection square style.

Looks good, works good, installed easily.
After a lot of research I believe Schlage has one of the better locks. It took about 5 minutes for my local locksmith to change pins so my locksets use the same key. I know, the quick set brand I could have done it myself, but I've watched too many online videos showing how to force the quick set locks open in about a second.

Very solid handle set; however, be aware that the color of dummy set is not 100% compatible with this set although they are supposed to be the same finish. Thus, I returned both sets, and finally got the black version (still has color difference, but minimal, not very noticeable compared to brushed nickel)
