Magnets are useless
Magnets won’t hold its weight on a fridge. Also no way to turn it off to save batteries.

Flashing lights tell you if the timer expired
Best uses: when you can set and forget the timer. - Exercise timer - Repeatable task timer - Short term kitchen timer (timer goes up to 99:59, cannot exceed 100 minutes) When the timer counts down, the button flashes green every 5 seconds or so, until it's less than 10 seconds, and then it will blink every second. Once it hits 0 it will blink red for up to 1 minute or until you stop the timer. There's no way to disable the light so buy a different timer if flashing lights are a problem. There is also beeping alarm, but you can quiet or mute that. If you let the timer count up from 0, then there are no lights or sound. I've bought 3 of these. One stays in my kitchen, the others I take with me when I exercise. I also use the memory function on the other 2 when I'm running the clothes washer and dryer. Set a 25 minute and 60 minute timer so I can get the laundry out before someone else in the apartment gets impatient and throws my stuff to the side. One of my exercise timers broke after 4 years. I dropped it too many times and eventually the battery leaked, corroding the contacts. After cleaning the device the batteries wouldn't connect so I couldn't use it. That's 4 years of wear and tear, so it was well worth the money. I'm using my phone's timer as a replacement, but it's harder to use and keep track of while exercising. If you want a simple timer that has a flashing light, this is what you've been looking for.

Large Digital Display, Loud Ringer, Stores Three Frequently Used Time Settings
The maximum setting for the ROBIC THREE MEMORY TIMER is 99 minutes, 59 seconds. If you're using it as a kitchen timer, you'll need to supplement it with an hour/minute timer like the excellentCDN TM8 Digital Timer and Clock Memory Feature for timing roasts, turkeys, crock pot dinners, and other hours-long tasks. But this timer is wonderfully convenient, because it independently remembers three (3) of a cook's most frequently used time settings, and the stored settings are easily changed. In my household, those settings are 20 minutes (for homemade ice cream), 11 seconds (for grinding coffee beans), and 60 minutes (to save time in setting longer times). If you start with a remembered setting, you can add time; if you don't want a remembered setting, you can set a new time "from scratch" by using the minute and second buttons. The timer has both a count-up (stopwatch) and count-down (timer) function. When the timer is running, the start/stop button flashes green; when the timer is finished, the start/stop button flashes red and a loud ringer sounds. For me, the loud ringer is an excellent feature, because I can hear it when I'm away from the kitchen (even upstairs), or when I'm watching TV. Also, the digital display is large and easy to read. The timer has a built-in stand, as well as a strong magnet on the back that attaches firmly to any convenient metal surface. (My timer is attached to the ventilation fan over my electric range.) The timer is powered by two standard AAA batteries (batteries are included). This is the most-used of my two kitchen timers, because I use it for timing different stages of preparing meals. I rate this ROBIC THREE MEMORY TIMER at an unqualified 5 stars ("I love it" on the official Amazon scale).

Perfect for my needs
Needed a timer to time students taking SAT practice tests, and this one has every single one of the features I desired: -large display so most of the students can easily see the numbers -silent mode -ability to program 3 different timers; the SAT has 25-, 20-, and 10-minute sections, and with the presets, the test proctor can quickly start each section by pressing the appropriate preset and the start button (much quicker than manually resetting the timer by pressing and holding the minute button until the timer reaches the correct time) -a blinking green light to indicate that the timer is counting down (and a red one to show that time has ended) gives the proctor a visual indication that a section has ended; if you find the light distracting, you could probably cover it up with black electrical tape, although you'd be covering up the start/stop button as well -a kickstand so the timer stays upright and students can easily see the time As another reviewer suggested, an on/off switch would have been a good idea to prevent accidental activation/button presses. Several times, I have seen an eerie flashing green light coming from the box where the timers are stored, only to find the timer hard at work timing, uh, absolutely nothing. Keep in mind, on the actual SAT, students are technically not allowed to have anything on their desks except pencils, erasers, a calculator, and the test booklet/answer sheet; a timer is not allowed on the desk, although some proctors are unaware of (or ignore) this rule. If a student wants to keep track of time on his/her own, he/she will need to wear a watch to be safe.

Very Disappointed - Did Not Last One Season
I purchased this timer for use while umpiring. The plus side is the numbers are large and easy to read from a distance, and seeing the timer was simple. One drawback is that it does not have a clip to attach to a fence, and the magnets are too weak to stay on the fence. But the most disappointing thing is that the LED began to fail in just three months. I purchased this timer, expecting it to last longer than the cheaper models many of my peers use. It appears the investment was not worthwhile.

Great product.
This, being my third, conveniently fulfills my needs in timing yoga postures. Also have one bedside to time naps so I don't oversleep. It is easy to program and use, is accurate, lets you choose between no alarm, medium volume, and loud. Large clear digits and long battery life.
