A beast
This Roberts guillotine is a beast, and I really like it. I used it to cut very, very hard LVP flooring for an 1100 square feet installation in my home. This LVP is so hard that standard jigsaw, hand planer, and razor blades all died a quick death trying to cut it or even trim the tiny locking ridge off the female end of the planks. This guillotine, though, ate this LVP for breakfast, delivering fine cuts consistently without dulling.

Works good, tricky to assemble...
This product works well. I'm using it to put down some cork flooring I got from a major chain, and this cutter is simple to use, makes clean cuts, makes little/no noise whatsoever, and does not produce saw dust. I did not give it five stars because it was frustrating to assemble. Be sure to assemble it on a good, high work table with a flat surface. You must connect the cutter head (which is heavy) to the base table (which is comparatively light) by driving four long allen machine bolts. They are heavy duty, and the cutter head likes to lean away from the base table which forces the bolts to not turn into their holes true and straight. All four of my allen machine bolts started into their holes badly and I nearly stripped all four holes. I ended up having to get a longer allen wrench and really torque on each one of the bolts to force them to finally set. The cutter head is heavier than the base table, which makes connecting the bolts very tricky. Start each one slowly and straight, and work each in turn until you are sure they are going in true. The company should consider a different design, or should pre-assemble that part of the cutter. I recommend this product because it works well, but warn the buyer to be patient while attempting assembly.

Must have for a large flooring project.
Used this to put LVP throughout my house. This tool made it so easy. Good quality. No complaints. I expect this tool probably cut the install time in half.

Good for most floors, not 12mm laminate
I bought this because I did not want to use a saw as I wanted to work while the neighbors were asleep. I wanted to love this because it promised less dust and noise. This might work for thinner material but if you have 12mm laminate, you might want to just spend the money on a saw. I lost a box of boards to poor cuts and ugly edges that even my 9/16ths floorboards could not cover them up. I don't mind imperfect edges, but this was too much on top of not being able to rip boards. I couldn't even finish a 200sq ft room before giving up. I borrowed a friend's saw and realized how bad this works for thicker products. Thanks to amazon I was able to return this. It's a beefy product that can be operated by a smaller person, but it was not for me.

Great tool, worth every penny, even for the DIY'er.
I had a big laminate job in my house to do, and another whole house job on a rental coming soon, so decided to take the plunge and invest in this cutter. At $235 it's definitely an investment, but after using it on my first job I'm very pleased with the results. First of this is a heavy duty solid piece of equipment. The cutter head assembly is solid aluminum and feels built to last. The blade is VERY sharp so be careful. The built quality seems very good. The biggest benefit of this tool is being able to kneel down at the end of a row, measure, cut and install your piece without getting up, running to your saw, cutting the piece (and creating a ton of dust), coming back to your room, kneeling down again and installing the piece. Multiply the time saved in doing that 60-100 times per bedroom and the investment in this tool suddenly makes a lot of sense. The long handle gives plenty of leverage to make cuts pretty easy. It does take some pressure but it's pretty easy cutting. The cuts are clean however not clean enough to be a finished edge, but with laminate all cut ends are hidden anyway so it's fine. If you have a large laminate job do yourself a favor and get this tool!

Commercial grade quality
I have no idea why anyone would give this bad ratings. This is commercial quality. Trust me it save hours of chop saw work and mess cleaning. You have the tool in the room with you and bang off the floor in a very short period of time . Why I didn't buy this before is beyond me . I have done many jobs this is a life saver. FYI don't buy the cheap ones they are garbage this is a known brand and lives up to the name .

Good buy, a little bit damaged by shipping
Likes: Pretty easy to use. Have clean cut and very stable when doing the cutting. Aluminum material and very light. Dislikes: one lockup hole not lined up and locking pin doesn't go in. The product was damaged a little bit by shipping. One of the rubber foot is cracked. One side is bended a little bit and the measurement is scratched a little. Overall I am satisfied.

Some Bad Design Flaws
Cuts great and the price point is good. That fence is awful. Not only does it not fix firmly in place, but there's a groove that runs down it so the planks sometimes grab it and pull it out. There's no place to store the fence for transport so my guys all have bets on who's going to lose it first. Stupid.
