Great Glasses, just sent wrong style.
I sent these to my grandparents as a gift. We love Reidel glasses and go through a lot of them in this specific style. I had ordered the Cabernet style, but was instead sent a set of shorter-stemmed, smaller glasses. They didn’t know they were sent something wrong and hadn’t told me. Not really sure what to do on how to get the correct glasses at this point.

This wine glass brand is specifically designed to give you the maximum enjoyment from your wine. Fragile but worth it. If you don’t believe it do a side to side comparison with a standard wine glass. Hands down the best we have found

The Wine Glass You Use Does Make a Difference
Some wine experts say it is a myth but I have proven time and time again, with many friends and family, that the wine glass you use can totally change how the wine you drink tastes and feels. There are many scientific reasons for this that I could share with you but I will leave that for others. I have used this glass for over 21 years, always keeping at least 8 available. They do break from time to time, but make the wine they hold taste so good I must have them. It all started in 2001, as I recall, it was a breakthrough year for German Rieslings, the first time I really got into them. A wine friend and I went to one of our favorite wine shops and bought two mixed cases from different weinguts and of different styles. The store owner suggested I buy these glasses to fully appreciate the wine. I was skeptical but decided to give them a try. I did a few tests myself, with the standard generic wine glass, a juice glass, and these and was blown away. Some days later I took the wines and the glasses to a family gathering and all were impressed. Even my mother-in-law, who had no real palate for wine, was convinced. Since then I have hosted dozens and more wine tastings and convinced many that the glass you use makes a difference. Often to their amazement. Now once you look into this you will see that there are an endless variety of glasses by multiple manufactures, glasses for all different types of wines, beers, and even cocktails. I have found, having owned and used many of these, that this glass is in my humble opinion is the best everyday glass. Great quality, deliver a great drinking experience and not too expensive. Enjoy!

Broke first use. Flawed glass.
Extremely disappointed with these glasses. Glass broke without shattering on the side of the bowl. Can only attribute to manufacturing flaws not caught in quality control. Will not be buying Riedel again.

Great wine stems, grape specific
These come in varietally correct SHAPES. I have several of each of the Pinot and Bordeaux. Between the two shapes, they are good for most red varieties. I also use the Bordeaux ones for Champagne. They are very sturdy and clean easily with LOW risk of breaking if cleaned properly. They are not quite as light as the fancier stems, but are a fraction of the price. I've used these for 20 years, for daily use and for entertaining, wine dinners. If you want a good stem that has the right shape to get the most of your wine and is easy to clean, this is it! Great value!
