Does the job
I wanted to replace existing pocket door hardware with some that locked and also had the little hook to help pull the door out of the pocket. These are exactly right, and look good. It was a bit of a pain cutting the correct openings since my openings from the previous hardware were a little smaller, so it took a lot longer than in the video. Also, in the video it shows having to cut a spot to swing the back end of the mechanism, but they must have changed the interior a bit because one no longer needs that swing space to be added, which made it a little easier. Maybe it's because of all the retrofitting, but it's still a little difficult to lock, and getting the bracket just right in the wall where the lock drops was pretty tricky. Take the time, measure twice, and it should be fine!

Nice fit for older pocket doors
It took me a long time to find a replacement for a pocket door locking latch/handle in a 1968 pocket door. Many of the newer homes use larger handles, but our 1968 home was a bit different. I finally used both inside and outside measurements to match this to our broken locking handle, but it works! I had to remove just a bit of wood in the inner cavity but a wood rasp made quick work of that. Now we have a locking handle on this bathroom for the first time in a few years!

If the listing had included more information on the installation requirements (details, dimensions, etc.), I would have been able to tell this product would not fit my application and I would not have ordered it (and had to return it). Otherwise it looked like a nice, sturdy piece of hardware.

Fits very old pocket doors
I have a 40 year old house, and could not find this size anywhere. These are oversized as compared to modern size and fit perfectly!

Better than the original
Nice, sturdy replacement lock, with all metal parts, to replace the original lock from 1974, where the plastic pull had broken. While it said it worked for left and right opening doors, it came the wrong way, and there were no instructions in the insert for how to reverse it. I had to send a question online, and once I received the reply, it was easy to disassemble and reassemble for use in the opposite direction.
