All pieces are there! Love it!
Okay so I hesitated to buy this after a video review about not having the pieces for inside. Yes, each acorn comes empty. You need to lift up the little plastic tray holding them to find 4 packs of little toys to put in the appropriate letter acorn. (SMH, not sure how anyone could not look in the whole package!) Quality seems good to me at opening. Also added a photo of what the objects are for each letter. The objects are small so definitely not for kids that they could be a choking hazard for.

Cute and Well Made
These are cute and well made, but I wish there was more of a contrast between some of the colored letters against the brown acorns. Purple and red especially don't stand out. Green is the best one. I think they could have made all of the colors lighter like the green so there is more of a contrast. It's just hard to see the letters. We got all of the correct little figures. My kids thought the yo-yo was a burger though, haha! These are a good learning tool and my 4-year-old twins were excited to get them.

Objects in incorrect acorns
The objects came inside the acorns in ours…but many in the incorrect acorns. It made for a very confusing first opening with my son when there was a pig in “Y,” etc. It doesn’t appear to be a returned product, but it’s possible. Otherwise, the item seems well-made and educational.

Must Purchase!!! You won’t be disappointed!
Very well made toy all of Learning Resources products are the best made for children truly! I love every single product I buy for my son. He has special needs and this has helped him tremendously with his letters and talking. I found this brand through my sons therapy services and I wouldn’t waste my money on another brand of toy/learning development tool out there. Not only are they super educational they are durable well thought out design and super fun my son wants to play with them for hours. Plus their play food is they very best and well made play kids food I have ever found. If your looking for something else to purchase you won’t be disappointed in them either.

These are fun and a great resource toy.
I first saw these on The children's show Miss Rachael and immediately thought of my very bright 3 yr. old great-grandson who loves the alphabet. He was so excited about these and spent over an hour just sitting on the couch opening them and telling us each letter and what it sounds like and then telling us the object in the acorn that starts with that letter. Great resource toy.

Almost perfect
This was almost perfect. But man was I disappointed to open “I” only to discover an ice cream cone. Igloo would have been so much more appropriate. I can let xylophone for “x” go, but I can’t let ice cream go. So disappointed

Great toy and wonderful learning tool
I bought these to add to help teach letter sounds to my kiddos. I love them! The quality is great and I love the concept as well. We come up with many different games to play with them and the whole time the kids are just having fun and dont even realize they are learning at the same time. The only complaint i have is for the X acorn they use a xylophone. So when using these to teach letter sounds xylophone isn't what we need. Usually when teaching the sound for X we use something with X at the, like FOX. Other than that one thing we LOVE this item!!!

I love these for my 3 and 6 year old
These are great toys for my 3 and 6-year-olds. My 3-year-old is just now learning his alphabet and my 6-year-old is working on reading and spelling. This is the perfect toy for them to play with together, typically my 3-year-old will just take them apart and walk away which leaves my 6-year-old to put them all back together but she loves it! Sometimes, they will work together to put them all back together.

Great quality, no weird smell.
I’m really happy with this product! I didn’t read the reviews and I’m glad I didn’t, I don’t really agree with the negative reviews. The purple on brown isn’t THAT difficult to see, if the lighting is poor then maybe. I didn’t notice any smell at all! The lids fit on fine, the quality is what I would expect from this company. My kids enjoy using it as an open ended toy as well, today the bottoms were tea cups. I would absolutely recommend this toy.

Great for teaching phonics
I am a early years teacher and I absolutely love these. These are great to use for teaching phonics - the names of letters and their sounds. The only problem with some of the objects is that they are not phonetically correct to match the sound e.g for “t” There is a train - but train is a “ch” sound, a telescope, tap or turtle would have been good, the “x” was a xylophone which is a tricky one as we teach the sound “x” at the end of the word “b-o-x” it’s nothing a problem as you can put in your own objects into the acorns if you wanted too. I love that they have the capital letter on the front and the small letter under the hat of the acorn. Great value for money!

Happy with my purchase
My daughter is speech delayed from cleft palate. It was minor. It took much longer to actually perform the surgery which resulted in 3 cancellations. That meant that instead of going for the operation at 7 months, she went at 1.5 years. She's trying to catch up now. This set is really helping her. It may seem a little expensive but you can get a lot of functionality out of this. Inside the acorn, under the top, you will see the lower case of the letter. The upper case is on the outside. Its a very good product! I hope to find something else from learning resources that can help her catch up with her speech. I know I love their products.

Great Toy
Absolutely brilliant toy. Such a simple yet clever idea. I bought for my daughters 2nd birthday. She loves the acorns and little toys inside. She has to be monitered whilst playing with them as the toys are small but she enjoys putting them in and out of the acorns and as she gets older she will be able to do more with colour coding and matching the toys with the letters. Recommended.
