[I like that these were sealed in this type of package, as this gives me peace-of-mind the books were not soiled or poorly handled.] Describe the books From cover to cover, page to page, all are made of hard, smooth, and coated cardboard. So, each page is very smooth. Each cover, front and back, and each page, is 1mm thick, which is about 0.04” thick [which is about the equivalent of four (4) sheets of stacked paper]. These thick pages are what my little ones like to flip though, thick pages for teeny fingers, it works.] Including the covers, there are (15) boards, so, (30) pages, when considering front and back, for each flipbook, so a total of (45) boards, which is equal to (90) pages for our babies to look at. Themes Each book has a theme (1) First Words (2) Colors & Shapes (3) Animals Why were these published? These fall in the activity book category. These allow our children to have early preschool-like experience to develop toddler skills. Which include learning colors, shapes, early words, animals, and vocabulary skills as they explore the pages to build fundamental skillsets. These books are an effort to introduce basic skills through books that engage them through wonderful full-color drawings. These books are part of a much larger learning set. Our little ones can learn their Colors and Shapes; be introduced to developing language skills, with the First Words Flipbook, and explore various creatures, big not so big, with the Animals flipbook. Developing Mind & Body Our little ones can engage in these books, rather than digital media, to develop the skills offered from these flipbooks, and build mind, mouth, voice, and hand coordination. This activates and stimulates mind, heart, and soul. From cover to cover, is cute, colorful, and simple drawings, with step-by-step help. Wonderfully illustrated, throughout. Children will just want to gaze at the artwork and letters. This reviewer opines these would be good to get in the hands of our little ones as soon as possible, the recommended age being (2+).
