Its too narrow to really work as a seat or backrest
The item us just as described, but for my purposes, its too narrow. I use as a combination seat- and backrest on planes.

Gets the job done with bare minimum of weight and bulk.
For me, a pillow is not a luxury item. Many people prefer to use a stuff sack filled with clothes or somethinf, but I have an old neck injury that can flare up if I sleep with my neck in an awkward position. It's very important to me that I have the proper head support, both for comfort and to avoid issues in the morning. Most pillows, even those designed for backpacking, are surprisingly heavy and bulky, even when compressed. This one isn't. Mine came out to 3 oz, including the stuff sack, and it really is only slightly larger than a deck of cards when deflated. It's tiny enough to throw in even the tiniest ultralight pack, or even a pocket if you're on a day hike. As a pillow it works well, though it's not as soft or squishy as a true pillow because it doesn't have any padding. The padding is what makes other pillows so bulky though. I consider this a more than worthwhile trade off. Sleeping in the woods is never going to have all of the creature comforts of home. In spite of feeling a little bit hard sometimes, it's still more than comfortable enough to sleep on. There is a small dent in it to keep it from crushing your ear, and if works surprisingly well. When unfolded it's very wide, but it can easily be folded as much or as little as needed to give the right height and support for your body and sleeping style. As someone who sometimes sleeps on my stomach and sometimes sleeps on my side, I liked being able to switch back and forth. The surface of the pillow isn't soft, so I put it in a pillow case from home. You could probably also substitute a handkerchief or a camp towel. It's also designed to be used as a camp seat. Unlike most pillows, it won't absort water and dirt just brushes off the surface. I probably wouldn't have bought it just for this, but I love being able to sit on the ground or a wet log without getting my butt wet. It's always wet here. It can also be used to kneel on, which is much more comfortable when building a fire or cooking over a camp stove. Then when it's time for bed I just brush off any dirt, shake the water off (or wipe it down if necessary) and then use it as a pillow. This also makes it a reasonable option for a day hike as well, if you are going to stop somewhere for a picnic or something. It can easily fit in a pants pocket and go with you anywhere you might want a seat. Inflating it only takes a second, and folding it is pretty quick and easy once you do it a couple times. I was concerned that it would be too much of a PIA to get all the air out, but it hasn't been a problem. I have also consistently been able to get it to fold back up into its original size. I do recommend reading the instructions that come with it though, and practicing at home. It's much easier to fold if you do it according to the instructions and don't just wing it. And it's dirt cheap. Can't beat that. If you want to save weight and space in your pack without sacrificing luxury, this is a cheap and easy way to do it.

Good as a seat, not terrible as a pillow, at least in some configurations
Here is what I like: It is made of a tough fabric that is unlikely to fail if you aren't completely stupid about where you put it down. It is comfortable as a seat. It weighs almost nothing and is easy to blow up and take down. You can use it as a camping pillow as well as a seat. Here is what I don't like: I found the idea that you can fold it over multiple times to create a really thick pillow for side sleeping kind of absurd in practice. It makes the pillow very small and it is kind of unsteady. Without some way to lock it into place in that configuration it really doesn't cut it. Maybe if you are somebody who does not move at all in the night it could work, but I found it to be unworkable. That is not to say it can't really be a camping pillow. It can, if you leave it flat like a seat and then stick some clothes or whatever under it to get the height up. I found that is really not too bad at all. It is wide enough and big enough to be fairly comfortable. Understand that nobody has figured out how to make an air pillow as good as a regular one, that is why nobody uses one unless they are trying to cut weight on the trail. Klymit hasn't figured out this puzzle either, but their effort here is not bad. Interestingly, I think thinner is actually better and more comfortable than thicker when it comes to air pillows, because more air volume just creates that weird "pool float" feeling where you feel like there is no stability under you and your head rocks like it is floating on the ocean every time you shift your weight on it, even slightly. As this is a bit thinner, it has more stability and that makes it more comfortable. If you double it over, that is still usable, but you are starting to introduce much more float. It becomes unstable and basically worthless when you try to make it three levels high, as they suggest is possible.

A few tweaks and it would be perfect. Much needed inflatable pillow.
So I havent ever liked inflatable pillows because they arent adjustable. If you half inflate the air just pushes all to one jamming your head forward or off to the side. This gets even worse if your in a hammock and your whole set up is already slightly curved. This is the first ever inflatable pillow you can push and mush into whatever thickness you want. I can easily roll in the ends or fold it in half or leave it flat and make it cup my head the way my real pillow does. However it falls short on a few things. First they need to round the edges and second they need to make the material more comfortable. Ill do the material first. It doesnt feel very comfy its kind of a rough plastic-y feal as opposed to a more rubber softer texture. They could partially fix this if they created a thin fitted pillow case to go with it or even put some felt on one side. I know that will make it a little thicker but it will be so much more worth it. To fix it on my own i tried putting it into a pillow case myself and that half worked. However i could still feel the edges. The edges of the pillow are pointy uncomfortable things. Those edges poke at you even through my pillowcase i put on it i could still feel them annoyingly pushing at me. Seriously though if they rounded in the edges like their other pillow where the seam is inside instead. Maybe made one of the sides softer with felt and/or a pillow case. This would be the best inflatable pillow on the market and one of the only of its kind.

Awesome product! Light, small, and very reasonably priced!
I've owned this cushion myself for several years and have used it as a sleeping pillow and versatile seat cushion on day hikes, backpacking trips, and sporting events. It's awesome and priced great for it's weight and versatility. Packs small and is so easy to inflate and deflate. Especially as a sleeping pillow, it might not be the ticket for everyone, as sleeping pillows are a very personal thing, but it worked fine for me. I highly recommend.

Comfy and versitile
It's filled in one breath and is very versitile. You can use it flat, double it up, move it about, wrap it, put your head on it, put your back side on it. It's very small and lightweight and fast to inflate and deflate.

Just the job
Just what we wanted, something wallet size for sitting at events without discomfort. They are rugged and versatile, in that you can double fold them for really rocky ground. The valve is a dream to work and you really can inflate them with one big breath. They take up no room and fold back up into their packs easily, the trick is to undo the valve, roll it up to expel all the air then close the valve and fold it up. They have a woven finish so you need to scrub them hard with a sponge to get the dirt off then leave them to dry for a while but they do clean up well. If I had any criticism it would be that the ends curl slightly when inflated which could be a problem if you are using them as a pillow but I doubt it.

A bit of a pointless item really.
I bought this a year ago, and at the time I took it out of the bag, played with it then put it back in the bag before packing it it my kit. Since then I haven't even used it once. When I inflated it and started bending it around to make all the different shapes I thought "This is pointless". As a pillow it didn't stay put whether flat or folded, and wasn't comfortable. The ear cups are pointless as they don't fit, and I'm assuming they probably don't fit many people, and without being able to tie the pillow around your head, I can't see what their purpose would be? As a seat it was passable, hence the 3 stars. People are paying £25 + for this, I'm glad I only spent £10.44 on mine when it was on offer (March 2019) although even that was too much. On the plus side, the material is good quality and seems durable enough, and the fact it folds down so small does mean at least I'm not lugging around a piece of kit that's not only useless, but also weighs a ton. I'm going to dig it out again and try to use it, and if my opinion changes I'll be back to update, but for now, I'd say there are (much) cheaper options out there that will do a better job of making you as comfortable as this overpriced item.

Really pleased with this product
We bought 2 of these to use on our recent holiday. They were a great comfort on the plane and provided additional padding on the seats. They were also a godsend on the poolside sun loungers, no more numb backsides. Easy to inflate, even for me as I normally struggle because of asthma. 2 - 3 quick puffs and you're done and ready to go.. We are really pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.

If it fits, it's a top product.
Still trying this out, but first impressions are good. As a seat pad it is very good, as a pillow I'm still undecided how to score it, as the only thing I can score it against is my bed pillow. It is comfortable but it moves, but so do I. As far as weight and construction are concerned it's a 5 star product, the only thing is if it fits you. The earpad cup works well for side sleepers. If you can keep it in place.
