Gorgeous, but the bugs still get in
This light is gorgeous, and it looks amazing in our bathroom. But bugs get in the globe and then they die in there, and the only way to clean it out is to unscrew the whole globe. Since the globe is clear, every guest will see that one dead spider hanging out in your light. Wouldn’t choose it again.

The underside view of the fixture is not very attractive and the glass gets so dusty so fast
Since I posted my review the image has been changed to one more representative of the angle you would view the lamp. The side view more attractive, but when installed, is really not what you see...what is visible is the interior under the hood of the light, it is thin metal that is not pattenated (is that a word?) or distressed like the top, so really, what you see is rather plain and ugly, especially since so much of the white ceramic light bulb port thing shows. If you put any other type of bulb in these, it looks atrocious...so be prepared to pay 5$ a pop for vintage looking edison bulbs. Also, the whole thing looks like an exterior light for a porch...it's actually why I bought these, other than they were inexpensive and I needed more updated fixtures that were oil rubbed bronze in my hallway....they match my exterior lighting style, the pattenation and the industrial commercial vintage almost nautical feel... I am disappointed now that I realize the light fixture doesn't show well since you almost never see a fixture directly from the side...you see the underside which has a hideous sticker that when removed may leave residue and a slight color difference on the inside hood....and then you won't remember the 60 watt limit on the bulbs... or the next person who lives in your house won't have a clue. These edison bulbs-I purchased dimmable-at 60 watts- are dim. I was hoping to brighten my hall and these made it darker, any other bulb type will look ugly but definitely awful if it's a cfl. Also, the glass is quite thin, probably not a great idea for lower ceilings, people who have kids who throw stuff in the house, or in passageways or traffic areas where tall or long items are moved.... I've had two handymen hit light fixtures and break them in the past....ladders both times. These fixtures for me are a temporary fix. I had to replace broken (by the handyman) and mismatched (thanks to the previous handyman) hall lights before a walk through appraisal and I'm on a budget. Update Appraisal went well. We were rated the highest a house can be that hasn't been remodeled completely to like new condition or is a new build. The appraiser noted many newer upgrades such as fixtures and different renovations we have done. Since we have a lot of hallway, I know he noticed and had to photograph the fixtures which are the only thing in the hallway besides doors and a light switch. That said, these are an awful pain! The glass has to be cleaned monthly! I use microfiber to make sure no residues are left behind, these cloths are terrific for all my other glass in the house...but these lights are weirdly dirty/cloud almost instantly, show all the dust and are a real pain to clean since you need to remove the bulb and a plastic nut before they come off and they are so very fragile. I am definitely changing out my hallway lights again. These will be sold at a future garage sale.

Antique Look
This has an antique look to it which I like. The item arrives securely packaged in its box with the necessary hardware to install. The glass shade is thick enough also a rubber gasket is supplied that you slip around the socket when you install the glass. The socket is a ceramic type which I approve much better than the plastic ones, it helps to dissipate heat from the bulb. The black paint finish is nice, semi flat look with 2 gold pinstripes but, can be scratched / scuffed up easily. Installation is simple for you DIY. Did have a bit of an issue, where the two threaded rods that you secure the light base to with the decorative nuts didn't protrude out far enough. They could have been a slight bit longer. Designed in Canada, made in China. Pictures, everybody likes pictures...

Great Farmhouse/Craftsman/Vintage Look and Great Value for the Price
I ordered 4 of these semi-flush fixtures for our foyer and hallway. I love the vintage/industrial/craftsman look and paired these with Edison bulbs. PROS: • high-quality feel (sturdy metal & thick glass) • easy installation • well-packaged (all 4 lights arrived in perfect shape) • look high-end • small-ish size doesn't overpower an already small space (like our hallway) • very affordable (just over $20) CONS: • oil rubbed bronze finish scratches easily • wattage stickers are on underside of black metal component, which you see looking up Overall, a really great light. It feels hefty and high-quality, and the look is really sophisticated in a modern farmhouse/craftsman kind of way. Any installation hurdles we encountered were because of how the lighting in our house was set up and not because of the lights themselves (one light box wasn't flush with the ceiling, another light box had too big a drywall hole around it without enough room to screw in metal plate from light) — the install on a properly prepared ceiling light box was maybe 10-15 minutes (including removing the old light). The only small thing is to handle the metal part very carefully so it doesn't get scratched during installation — I scratched one a little trying to peel off the wattage sticker. Not a big issue for us, I would maybe rate at 4.5 stars, but I'm fine rounding up because especially for the price, this is a fantastic light and value.

Easy and Affordable Boob Light Upgrade
Against all common and fiscal sense, we decided to move in the height of Covid. When we moved into our new home, it was sporting those absolutely awful boob lights that just make us all blush and squirm a bit uncomfortably. Don’t even pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about... because you do. We ALL do. Anyway, that was on the top of my to-do list, but knowing we have so many home projects to do (note the in-progress closet reno, lovely textured ceilings and the dated front door that also has got to go in just that one pic alone...) well with all the updating needs, I went looking for an affordable lighting option. These were perfect!! I ended up buying and replacing all the hallway lights throughout our house and couldn’t be happier!

Great! High end looking - just get different connectors
Easy to install, but make sure you get better “twist on wire connectors” I got three and got one in fine by myself (never done electrical before) My neighbor is an electrician and he helped me out on the last two after I had a bad connection due to the “orange plastic twist connectors” that are included. He said they weren’t very nice but he complimented the lights saying they were as nice as some restoration hardware or pottery barn ones he has installed.

Beautiful but disappointed
Recently bought two of these beauties. They are bigger than they appear. Unfortunately, we were only able to install one light as the bowl for the other light is smaller in circumference for some reason. We choose to use a 3 inch led light and it does not fit in the second light fixture.

Great looking fixture
I purchased this fixture to install in my entryway; I wanted something black, but this was the closest I could find, but, it still looks black even though it’s “aged bronze.” Easy to install and goes very well with my decor. Price on Amazon was the best I could find.
