Fun And Challenging
I’ve had brainteaser puzzles like this before and have always found them to be fun and challenging. This ‘Triazzle’ by ThinkFun is no exception. It’s a great puzzle to have on hand. It’s big enough for a couple of people to work on together. And it’s challenging enough to be fun. The cardboard the puzzle is printed on is a little thin in my opinion. It makes the pieces a little awkward to deal with and they don’t want to stay in place on the board like they would if the cardboard was thicker. The butterfly design is a little hard to see being it’s rather small. But that nothing a pair of reader glasses won’t fix. I’m happy with this brain teaser puzzle and would definitely buy others in the series. I keep it in the RV, and it’s a great way to pass time.

Not as easy as it looks
When my husband opened the package for this puzzle he asked why I got a little kid's puzzle when our kids are teenagers. I promptly took it apart, mixed up the pieces and challenged him to put it back together. An hour later, he still hadn't succeeded. This puzzle is deceptively simple. Sixteen triangular pieces in a larger triangular frame with various butterflies (I think there are 6 or 7 different butterflies) along the edges of each piece. You have to arrange the triangles so that the proper butterflies line up along each edge to create a whole butterfly. The problem is, it is very easy to fit two sides, but not so easy to fit all three. There is only one right solution that will align all the butterflies, but there are seemingly infinite possibilities that don't work (I'm sure the number of possibilities can be worked out mathematically, but that's above my pay grade). If you look closely, there are logical ways to start and proceed. Corner pieces, for instance, already have two sides given and there are only two or three pieces which will fit in any given corner. Then from there you can find other areas where there are only a couple of choices and try to eliminate them down to the correct fit. Using this bit of logic (and a whole lot of luck), I managed to complete the puzzle in about half an hour). The puzzle is made of reasonably sturdy cardboard, but I'm not sure how well it will hold up with repeated use. It is also certainly not waterproof (much less glue, slime or other such substances), so it is best kept away from young children. I'm also not sure how much re-play value this puzzle has. Theoretically you can solve it over and over again and it wouldn't necessarily get easier over time. But I wonder how many people will be motivated to do so - I can't say that I am. This is a decent puzzle for an older child or adult, but probably something best suited for a school, retirement home or other facility where it will get used by multiple people.

Great puzzle. Challenging
I was rather surprised by how hard this puzzle is. I got it for my seven year old, but I hard trouble solving it and I’m 43! ???? It’s a triangle puzzle with equally sized triangle pieces with various ocean animals on the pieces. You need to match the animals together and match the outside edges to animals on the board. So at first it seems easy. You are just putting the pieces in place. But when you get towards the end and you have 2 pieces left, you realize neither of those work, so then you need to start moving pieces around that you’ve already placed. It’s a lot of fun, but a challenge. My kid lost his patience and gave up. But perhaps yours will see it through. Quality-wise, the puzzle is well made. It’s a nice puzzle and a great gift for puzzle fans.

Much harder than it looks!
I got this for my kids and ended up really enjoying it myself! It is a LOT more challenging than it looks. Definitely take a picture of it before you scramble the pieces. The puzzle itself is sturdy and seems well constructed. I just wish it had like a lid or a storage sleeve or something. I ended up storing it in our game cupboard, but if I didn't have a spot like that to put it where it wouldn't get knocked around, I'm not sure where else I could have kept it. Something to bear in mind, as once you take the plastic off when it arrives, there's nothing holding everything in place. Fun puzzle. Definitely difficult. Would really love it if it weren't for the no lid thing.
