This review may not be helpful as this is the first cordless battery operated trimmer I have purchased. I wouldn’t say it was cheap, but certainly more affordable than several others. I found it difficult to assemble and found instructions woefully inadequate. Eventually I found a YouTube video in German that I was able to mostly understand and finally complete assembly. Mine did not look exactly like the illustrations, perhaps a mid production change. I Have yet to figure out how to have the trimmer automatically advance the line, and must feed it out manually as it breaks off. That may be operator error, I don’t know. I don’t have a very large area that requires trimming, so this is adequate to the task and more convenient than dragging around a large extension cord. It’s fairly light and has attachable wheels which convert it to a clumsy but sufficient edger.

Solid build, much bigger than my 8" inch 24v, long last battery, even cut
The media could not be loaded. Good quality, solid build. It has good weight and balance, feel good in hand, large battery 20V 4.0ah. I also have Sun Joe 8 inch 24v 2.0ah, but comparing this 12 inch with sun joe's 8 inch, it is almost the double of sun Joe in size/length. Also, its battery is heavier than sunjoe's 24v 2.0ah. It is easy to assemble. Used to cut hardwood (i think, because the center has red color), and it seems cutting faster than sunjoe. Also, it has better cut than sunjoe, with smoother surface. Double Safety, 1. Hand blocker and 2 safety trigger. Tension adjustment is the orange node, to tight the chain, just twisting the orange knob clockwise, then tighten the bar with the black knob. This is design is better than my old wired chainsaw, where you need a flat head screwdriver to tighten the tension of the chain. Over all, I like it very much. Two things can be improved on is 1. I wish the batter has level indicator like sunjoe, to tell you how much power left. 2. I wish the orange knob and the block knob either separate or have similar design as sunjoe, so when tighten the block knob, the orange knob is not adjust also and make the chain too tight.

Lightweight, quiet, and great for small jobs.
I'm 2 mos shy of 77. Had 2 big white pines come down, and took several smaller trees down with it. Was looking for lightweight, easy to use saw for cleanup of branches and smaller trees. I saw Amazon reviews of the 12" Paxcess battery operated saw, so decided to try. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with how good it would be!! I've used it for 4 consecutive days....and it's been a lifesaver! The cleanup has gone great! Also surprised by the battery performance! I cut each day, intermittedly for 2 hours, and battery held up. I would say I did 20 to 30 mins of actual cutting time. Not sure how long it would stand up with continuous log cutting, but for my cleanup needs....PERFECT......although I'll need someone to come in to do do the big stuff. Also easy to make chain tension adjustments, once I got used to it. If I can get 3 or 4 years out of it, with expected sparse use...GREAT DEAL FOR ME!

Okay up to a point
This is a good choice for anyone who is doing light duty to moderate duty cutting. It's really not appropriate for heavy duty work and the manufacturer notes this in promoting it. It cuts pretty well overall. The casing with adjustment screw is a bit awkwardly seated on the unit. It's easy for debris to enter and you must monitor this if you're cutting near the ground. Battery life is okay, not great. After 20-30 minutes of steady cutting, it's pretty much done. For a newbie, this is a good choice, given its performance and application limitations. I will buy a longer-bladed, more powerful unit next time.

Works fine for a 75 year old female
This battery operated chainsaw works just fine for me. Part of my property includes a small forest here in southern Oregon so there are always downed trees and branches. This saw cuts nicely, isn't too loud or heavy. I did have to adjust the chain after the first 2 cuts but I think that is common once the saw warms up. I had cut down a couple small oak trees in the Fall and did not want to have to use my bow saw to cut them up for the wood stove. I'm happy to have it. I doubt I will be able to use it long enough at one time for the battery to run down!
