Fun, colorful notecards

These are small, fun and joyful notecards of Paris street pictures. Nice for a short note.

but I really wish they didn't look like something I could have printed off at home

I have a couple of other notecard sets from Chronicle books in a similar style to these Paris in Color notecards, and both of those sets have a glossy finish to the front of the cards that I think helps them look high quality. These Paris notecards are lacking that glossy finish, so it's just a picture printed on cardstock, which was disappointing and not what I was expecting. The photos chosen are cute with only a couple images that I don't care for, but I really wish they didn't look like something I could have printed off at home.

It's almost like being in Paris

I first found out about the book "Paris in Color" from a knitting/yarn website using the color ideas from this for a new line of hand dyed yarns. She recommended this author, so I took a look, and felt the spirit of Paris just by looking at the carefully selected photographs. The photos transported me to Paris, and are wonderful to sit and look at.

Quality not great

For the price, the quality of the paper and printing just aren't great. The photos aren't centered on the card, and there is a large white margin around it. My husband said a 5 yr old could have made them. The worst part is most of these could have been taken anywhere in the world. One of the photos is just a drawing of a yellow heart. Very disappointing. :-(

Beautiful!

These are absolutely beautiful cards! Wonderful photography and good quality paper. I've gone through one box and I'm ordering a second box now. I would highly recommend these!
