Adorable Hat, Tightening Mechanism Doesn't Work Well
Bought two of these for my 6 month old daughter (one for home, one for daycare) in the 9-18 month size. It fit her head nicely and the brim does a great job of shading her eyes and head/neck from harsh sun rays when we are outside playing, on stroller rides, or doing water table. It also alleviates the need to baby sunglasses which are so hard to put on. The chin strap tie is awesome because it keeps it firmly on her head if it's windy and it doesn't keep falling off. The pink toucan print is adorable and I like that it has an adjustable notch in the back. However, the older version of this hat that my older daughter had 5 years ago had a better sliding mechanism to tighten the hat. This newer version's sliding mechanism isn't smooth and doesn't really tighten it well, it slides a fraction of a millimeter if that. Luckily the hat fit her well anyway and I didn't need to adjust it much, but if I did need to adjust it more, the tightening notch doesn't work well. It feels flimsy like it could break off and you really have to push hard to tighten it. Other than that, it's a great hat for summer.

Sizes need help
This is a nice sun hat. I ordered size 0-6 two different times and was sent size 9-18 both times. So the 0-6 must not exist ? Disappointing bc I need the 0-6 for this summer…

Tying the straps was challenging
Having this big hat is great.. having a hat on a baby that we do not have to tie would be better. We ended up putting a clip on it so that we could tighten without tying. It’s working well.

I really like these hats I ordered one for my 2 year ...
I really like these hats I ordered one for my 2 year old and 4 year old. The 4 year old's hat fit just fine for my 2 year old i was happy it had the adjustment around the head part because that helped to fit it better to her head. These hats are perfect to protect them from the sun (when they actually leave them on) the tie helps to keep them on but once they get wet they get heavier and thats usually when my girls want them off. But i really like these hats.

PERFECT SUMMER HAT
This is the PERFECT toddler hat. Adjustable fit? Check. Stays on? Check. Great solid colors that go with everything? Check. SPF and wide brim for sun protection? Check. It's got a tie-string so you can make sure it stays put -- why don't all baby hats have this?? Otherwise babies will just yank them off! It's got a wide, sturdy brim that totally keeps the sun rays off but is still soft and comfortable. The material is very soft and high quality, and it even has an adjustable string around the head part so you can tighten it to fit. I was concerned about the wacky sizes, but checked the iPlay size chart and the 9-18 months size fit my 2-year-old's 18.5-inch head circumference perfectly. This hat solves ALL your issues.

Too big but still love it!
This hat is very cute and has a wide brim good for blocking the sun. The only thing is my daughter is 2 and the the 2-4 year old hat is much too big for her head. She is on the smaller side, but I didn’t want to risk the hat being too small. I don’t think this hat will fit her head until maybe next year, but I don’t mind saving it for then. I really like it! She doesn’t like straps under her chin so I have to make sure hats fit her head perfectly

great hat!
We really like the hat, and because of the ties, our daughter usually keeps it on pretty well. We were nervous about getting it because we were afraid it would be too big for her small head, but the drawstring/toggle have worked really well, and this hat should fit her for a long time yet. The color was not nearly as intense as the picture, which, to me, was a plus. The only issue I have with it is that the one place it consistently flops down is right at the front, in her eyes. So, it's hard for her to see out and hard for us to see her face.

good coverage sun hat
Love this hat!! I bought the whole 2 piece bathing suit that matches it. So far this is the only hat I have found that will stay on my baby's head and she does not try to yank off (at least right away). There is a string that ties under the chin and the brim flares out farther than most hats I have seen. We take this hat everywhere with us and it has really been a lifesaver on those harsh sunny days. nothing worse than a scalp/face/shoulder burn! This covers everything!
