Beautiful Mugs

I love drinking out of these beautiful, clear double glass mugs. I can drink a very hot cup of tea without burning my hands and it keeps the drink hot longer than uninsulated mugs. I love to see my drink through the clear glass. These elevate my cup of tea to something more.

that the box said they are 12oz but I can only get 10oz in the cup

I think whoever packed the cups put the wrong size in the box, unless they measure the ounces different than I did by using a measuring cup with ounces printed on the outside of it. Other than that think they are great.

Pictures don’t match product

The pictures show the mugs being short, wide, and round (good for lattes/cappuccinos). But they are actually tall and narrower (not good). This is a good quality brand, I have purchased OGGI before, but this listing needs to be updated

Bought Second Pair

Wanted to make sure no lead in cups, and wanted cups we could boil water in. Taught chemistry so I wanted borosilicate glass. Don't have the heft of a ceramic mug, but are comfortable and stylish. Seller delivered very quickly. Well packaged.

Mug Works But Designed For 8-oz Liquid Contents

Actual capacity close to the rim is 10-11 oz, but these are advertised as 12-oz mugs. Practically, these are really designed for 8 oz of actual liquid. While the mugs do work to insulate the contents to slow heat loss and help prevent condensation, the stated capacity is misleading and should be rated for 8 oz of contents. The box clearly states 350 ml / 12 oz. Using a precision lab setup, I measured about 325 ml of liquid to the rim based on both volume measurement and by taring a lab scale (water = approx. 1 gram per ml volume at room temperature). Both mugs were similar. Based on this, the capacity is really about 10-11 oz, but practically any more than 8 oz and you'll be likely to spill hot coffee or tea on your hands. I also tested these with a Keurig 2.0 with similar results. Although I don't assume the Keurig is nearly as accurate as my lab setup in terms of accurate volume, I tried brewing a 10-oz cup of tea and it came right up to the rim. I had to dial it back to 8 oz to ensure that the contents wouldn't overflow. So long as you understand this, the cups are functional but I'm not doing handsprings. I'm assuming the right glasses were in the box as labeled. Oggi should update the description to more clearly state the practical liquid level.
