Great shoes for the price

These are the perfect starter hiking boots, and definitely worth the price. I didn’t want to spend a ton considering how fast kid’s feet grow, and I’m pleasantly surprised to know that they’re holding up well enough that we’ll be able to pass them down to his little sister when he outgrows them. Would buy again for sure.

Cheap junk

I ordered these for my son to use for Boy Scouts. He wore them once and the lace holders all came off and the laces broke. They are really cheaply made. Would not recommend if you plan to actually use them for rugged hiking

Great for children with narrow feet

These are great durable hiking boots for little ones. I purchased my first pair of these when my daughter was 2 1/2 years old. I subsequently bought this pair when she was 4 1/2 years old, but they didn’t last long due to their narrowness. I gave it 4 stars because I had to switch brands since it doesn’t come in wide widths. I guess my daughter’s feet grew wider because I couldn’t get her feet in the shoes not long after purchasing and she complained that they hurt her feet. So if your child has narrow feet these would be a perfect choice for you. But if your child has wide feet choose a company like Merrell that has wider widths.

they didn't loosen at all after tying them and stayed nice and tight

I am a women's size 7.5 that bought these for a camping trip because I didn't previously have shoes specifically for hiking. I didn't want to spend a fortune, so I bought these. I ordered a size 7 (you're supposed to order 1.5 sizes down if you're trying to fit into kids shoes) but I wanted to leave some room for thicker socks, etc. I was worried they would still be to tight, but to my surprise they came with a ton of extra room in them without being too big. I put these boots to the test for 4 days in water, mud, difficult hiking, and they still came out of the weekend unscathed. For being children's shoes, the tread on the bottom is impressive and helped me navigate some harsh terrain without slipping or sliding AT ALL even when they were wet. The laces and lace holders were also impressive, they didn't loosen at all after tying them and stayed nice and tight. They feel very light weight, not heavy at all to walk in. Whether you're a woman with a smaller foot size looking to save some money, or you actually do want them for your kids, I think they would work great either way.

Fall apart

Initially they fit fine and look ok, after a short amount of wear, the eyes pull out making them unwearable. POOR value. Had to return one pair for this exact problem. I ordered another thinking this was a "one of," not so. This last pair started falling apart after only a few months.

Soooo cute!! Mini-me hiking shoes for those outdoorsy families

Ok so my son doesn’t walk yet but he’s a hefty 11month old and fits into a size 6. These boots are SUPER cute! They look like miniatures of his dads hiking shoes! We’re hoping these will be his “first step shoes” My only complaint is that they’re heavy for beginners, I don’t think I’d suggest them as a first walkers shoe, but they are sturdy, and clearly waterproof (my sons feet are always sweaty when they come off, which is a good sign that no water in and not water out) :)

So far, great value! They run a full size large FYI.

My son wore these for the first time on a four hike in the mountains, and didn't complain once of sore feet, and even better didn't slip even a quarter as often as in his flat-soled tennies. My only concern so far is some abradement of the fairly soft sole, but otherwise no real signs of hard use. The size 13 fits his size 12 feet perfectly in medium-weight socks. Looks like he'll outgrow them before he outwears them, at which point we'll order the next size (provided they stay under $30).

cuidado con la talla!!!

Gracias a que leí las reseñas antes de comprar los zapatos, supe que venían muy pequeños y que debía pedirlos un número más grande. Sin embargo no fue suficiente porque a mis hijos les quedaron justos, lo que significa que no les van a durar mucho tiempo. Debo aclarar que mis hijos son de pie grande comparado con el promedio de sus amigos de la edad. Posiblemente en mi caso hubiera sido mejor pedirlos 2 números más grande para que les duraran más tiempo y podría haber compensado el tamaño extra con una calceta gruesa. Fuera de eso estamos felices con la compra porque son muy cómodos y tienen un excelente precio.
