You Get What You Pay for

I had no illusions about what kind of boots these would be when I ordered them. Cheap boots are going to be made cheaply. But thats why I ordered them and they met my expectations. If you need an inexpensive, multipurpose boot for LIGHT use then these will do fine. They are NOT for serious hiking and I would not even consider using them for anything more than a 2-3 mile jount in the woods. They are stiff out of the box and may become more pliable with use, but I wouldn't take a chance with them. Sizing seems to run smaller than indicated. I wear a size 12 so ordered size 13 to allow for heavy socks. Unless they stretch out more, heavy socks will not work. They seem to be one full size smaller than marked. In putting them on for the first time one sewn eyelet ripped out. I punched a hole in the upper to thread the lace through. You get what you pay for. As I said, I had no expections for a great boot. For actual hiking I wear a more expensive boot with a proven track record. I wanted another boot that I could use for occasional wear when I didn't want to wear my good boots. For that purpose they are exactly what I was looking for. If you don't expect much from these boots, you won't be dissapointed.

Decent boot for the price!

Decent boot for the price, I use them as work shoes. I am on my feet 12 hours straight, I am very hard on shoes and these seem to hold up.

Runs small

Very inexpensive, as such it gets 4 stars. Be forewarned, they do run small. I'd suggest going a half-size up when ordering. My 10.5 pair have my toes very nearly touching the end of the boot. If I wore them for actual hiking I'd be in trouble.

Nice shoe but needs work.

These shoes are nice but the hard part of the rubber sole wears fast just from basic walking. Also the loops that hold the laces aren't strong and one of them on one shoe has ripped off. But the fit is nice and they are comfortable. They just need a little bit more quality.

Nicer than expected

Don't expect these to last as long as actual hiking boots, but in terms of looks and just daily street use they are much nicer than expected for the price.

Cheap robust boot

Similar to their Stimson Ridge but not waterproof and half the price. Great for all round wear. Not quite as comfortable as the SR but close.

Seems fine, but runs small

I have worn the same size shoe for 40 years, so when I put on a pair and my toes are immediately bumping the top of the toe box I know they are running small. Obviously, this is a deal-breaker for hiking boots/shoes. Also, the laces were not the right length for this pair of boots. If you actually use the top eyelet there is almost no chance that you can tie the shoe.

my boys have been wearing them for years

So affordable yet high quality. Strong leather, great ankle and heel support, great traction for mountain hikes. So every 6 months to a year (as they grow) we order the next size up.

Nice fit but

These are nice looking boots, comfortable and fit well. But, after having them only two months, they started to come apart. Since my return window has closed, I'm going to have to glue them together. I probably wouldn't buy these boots again. I have two other pairs of boots bought from Amazon (different company) that have endured well over many more months.

Great price and very light

They were a bit hard to break in because of how the leather overlaps on the baby toe but I love them now that they are broke in.

Satisfied and for the price a real bargain

When I received them, thought they are small but fit perfectly as expected. Did 5 days hiking in the mountains 2500m high peaks. A lot of rocks, sharp, wet, slippery. Never slipped once! Very solid, the soles are soft, flexible and "glue" to the stones. Light and breathable. Satisfied and for the price a real bargain! Wear hiking merino socks and tie the laces firmly and you'll be good to go places!
