So this comes out looking thick and goopy and you may initially be alarmed thinking you bought a tube of your grandmother's cold cream. It does absorb though and does not leave a gross film on your skin. I recently had tested some products that left my skin really irritated and blotchy looking and this went on for a few days. This one was bumped up in the test queue, and boy was I glad- it calmed my skin back down. Contains caffeine to boost circulation and 6% polyhydroxy acid (PHA) so there's some nice gentle refining action going on too. No perfumes but it does have a slight scent to it that will dissipate an hour or so after use. If you were looking for a more liquid serum for calming down reddish and irritated skin I also really like ClarityRX's Take Care Daily for soothing irritated skin. I love this product and know it will be one I reach for in the winter when being outside in the snow and bitter wind/cold will leave my skin needing some extra TLC.
