I finally found a replacement for my storm door

Worked just fine

I bought this product to replace a broken storm door knob mechanism for a 1 5/8 inch Sears storm door. Because no drilling was required the replacement was easy and quick with no cutting or modifying the product needed. I am happy with the product. My replacement did have a locking mechanism that can be locked and unlocked from the inside only. There is no key or ability to open a locked door from the outside. This does not bother me since my main door is the door I lock.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I purchased this door knob on July 12, 2021 but didn't install it until last week. It lasted all of 3 DAYS and then completely fell apart. Nothing holding the cylinder so the door knob just falls out! We would have been better off leaving the old door knob on. Complete WASTE of MONEY!!!

If you like to spend your money on junk, then this is for you

This is the second one of these that I have used. The first lasted for a year, then the plastic collar inside of it split and rendered the doorknob useless. I ordered another one, hoping the first was a bad one from the factory. This one only lasted a few months. Same problem - the plastic collar split and the knob pulls apart. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Junk

Fell apart after it being on the door for less than an hour. There is nothing holding the insides together.
