high quality touchless faucet, beautiful look
This is my new favorite faucet in the house! Installation was easy and the directions are very simple and clear to follow. I was able to install it myself in about an hour. The touch-less on/off takes a little getting used to since you only are using the knob for temperature control. I have other Moen products I love, and this one lives up to the brand expectation. It’s been a huge hit with house guests! Works great in my new bathroom as well. Although the costs is pretty high you are getting a good quality faucet here.

Nice looking faucet, complex setup, doesn't work right
So I FINALLY got around to installing the sink in my barn along with this faucet since it is supposed to be hands free. Since this would be used to wash dirty oil filled hands I wanted something that I wouldn't have to touch and could just turn on with motion... well this faucet would have been nice if it worked properly. It functions in a weird way and requires 6AA batteries. The motion detection does work for turning the motion on or off but usually it doesn't actually turn the water on... and if it does it definitely will not turn it off. The batteries are indeed charged though so I am not sure what makes it not work properly. At the end of the day I wanted to love this faucet but it doesn't work right. A shame for something that is supposed to be so expensive...

It's gorgeous
Have not installed yet but it's beautiful and the lever for the pop up drain plug is elegant. There are some that i think look clunky but this one is mostly concealed with a smooth elegant up and down slide to activate the drain plug. Love it, love the on off lever on the side.

Moen brushed gold is VERY difficult to match.
This faucet is very nice...it is very hard to find a light, knobs or handles...that come close to Moen's brushed gold. I guess they want you to buy their lights, knobs etc... It is like a copper gold...does not match other brushed golds, bronze or brass...purchased 8 lights all different shades and nothing came close. Returning the faucet...too hard to work with. There is actually a blog about the difficulty of matching this faucet on the net...wish I had seen it before I went through all the hassle.

A cool non-touch faucet from Moen...
The media could not be loaded. An unusual and effective bathroom faucet from Moen which has a number of benefits as well as a few significant drawbacks. Most touchless faucets are fairly simple affairs that employ a sensor of some kind in the faucet base or neck that operates a valve beneath the countertop to run water through the faucet. To use the touchless capabilities you must place the valve in the faucet base in an on position at the flow and temperature you desire. Mixed water at the desired flow rate chosen via the faucet valve goes down out of the valve into the sink base where it passes through an electronic solenoid valve and then goes up a hose into the faucet neck to be dispensed through the faucet stem. There is constant pressure at the solenoid valve beneath the sink which enables touch control to turn the water on or off. However, if the mixing valve in the actual faucet is off, no water pressure can be present at the solenoid valve in the base and thus no water can be touchlessly dispensed. Also, temperature control is only available via the mixing valve in the faucet base. This Moen Touchless faucet is entirely different. You can start and stop it by waving your hand independent of where the handle on the actual faucet is. What these abilities mean is that the handle in the faucet does not mechanically control a valve hidden inside the faucet, but is instead a switch which controls the mixing valve in the electronic box under the sink to mix and dispense water at the temperature and flow rate described by the handle. If the handle is off, the flow started by the motion sensor will be maximum. The temperature of water, whether started by the handle or by the motion sensor will always be set by the position of the handle in the faucet. You can therefore dispense water from this faucet by IR sensor control without the handle in the base being on. The valve is under the sink in the control box and both hot and cold supply lines go into the box rather than the faucet base, get mixed in the box via the electronically controlled valve in the box and then go up into the faucet neck via a single line. I don't know if you can understand this from my written explanation. If you view the video I've included it may become more clear. This is great technology from Moen. But there are some drawbacks. 1) Because the water flow and temperature from this faucet is ENTIRELY electronically controlled, without power you will not get water from the faucet. The faucet requires 6 AA cells to run. It is also possible to buy an AC adapter and use the battery pack as backup for when power goes out. 2) Even using the handle to control the faucet, there is a slight delay versus a fully hand-operated mixing valve. 3) Perhaps most important, the digital parts of this faucet are warrantied only five years versus lifetime warranties on normal Moen valves and parts. Moen's excellent lifetime warranty does not apply to most of the working parts of this faucet. So in the end, this is a remarkable faucet. But it really takes control of the faucet out of your hands in order to do so, leaving you operating through the electronic valve under the sink via digital controls.

Cool touchless faucet
This bathroom sink faucet is much larger than my old one, I would say it is not suited for smaller sinks. The touchless feature is unique and fun to have.

Don’t buy this faucet!!
I bought two of these for newly renovated baths. The first pic shows the faucet days after installation. Totally tarnished. Almost copper. Moens response: you may have to wax our brass finish faucets to maintain their appearance. WAX A FAUCET????!!!! We sent it back and the seller was super helpful -GN kitchens- in making sure we got a refund. We went w a similar style and finish from Grohe which GUARANTEES Their finish. Wax a faucet ???? really Moen??
