Worked
I notice it went through batteries fast and it was too big of a fit. Which made it hard to lock and unlock.

Security for an elderly person who may need help and might not be able to answer the door promptly
Bought this for an elderly person who lives alone, has mobility issues and is at risk for needing emergency assistance. In the event she calls for help, when the help arrives she just pushes the unlock button on the small keychain remote she carries with her at all times, no need for the door to be broken open. It works as advertised: the remote control locks and unlocks the deadbolt mechanism, which also works using the supplied keys (a critical backup to also carry when going out, just in case the batteries that operate the motor run out of juice). Installation wasn't too difficult, although I felt the instruction sheet could have been a bit more detailed. The remote control's coverage is good, no problem with operation from two rooms away or from curbside in front of the house. One reviewer mentioned the remote control's lock and unlock buttons functioned in reverse of how they were labeled. Initially I also experienced this with the second of the two units that I had installed, and realized it was because the second door was mounted to swing open in a direction that was opposite from the first door, which meant the second door's deadbolt latch needed to extend and retract in a direction that was opposite the first. This situation was remedied easily enough: inside the battery compartment there's a small two-position switch labeled "1" and "2". Changing the setting to the other number reverses the functions of the remote control's lock and unlock buttons. After I discovered and made this adjustment, I was quite pleased with the lock overall.

Don't need no stinkin' key!
I like the idea of using a remote to open the front door. No more trying to find the right key with a bag of groceries in each hand or trying to find the keyhole in the dark. Took about fifteen minutes to install it (replacing a deadbolt that was already there) and half of that time was spent trying to open the hard plastic shell it was encased in. The module on the inside of the door is about twice the size of a regular deadbolt unit because it has to hold the 4 AA batteries that power the deadbolt. The battery area is slightly lighter than the bottom section, but it looks great; I have the oil rubbed bronze model that complements the doorknob. The remote works fine and is easy to program; just note if the 'unlock' button locks, like mine did, and you care that it's switched, there is a 1-2 switch below the batteries and you just flip that switch to get it working properly. By the way, it comes with 2 remotes, not 1 like it says in the description, as well as 2 keys, in case the remote doesn't work. Overall, extremely pleased with my purchase. The batteries last a couple of months; it works great with rechargeable batteries. The unit gives you a little beep when it is about to die, I pop out the batteries and recharge them overnight and the next morning pop them back in before I leave. Just remember to always have the key with you because if you don't hear that beep and it dies while you are out, you won't be able to get back in without the key.

Easy to install. Haven’t had to change the batteries yet, but it’s only been a few months. Range is limited, but very convenient.

I was thinking to cap the key hole, and not use the key but there's a tendency for the dead bolt not to fully engage or fully unlock if there's some friction at the deadbolt because the stop is exactly at 90 degrees. Need to adjust the stop location pass 90 degrees. The motor weakens the battery quickly after a few lock and unlock if there is friction. I could not really get rid of the key and just use the remote. The key is necessary for backup when the battery is weak. Ensure no considerable friction at the deadbolt.

Overall, a quality product
Simple installation. Mid range security. Used for product testing: under high volume usage, expect battery change monthly. No substantial difference noticed in battery life extension when cycled under low volume usage set at 2 cycles per day for 30 days. Batteries still need changing. Batteries used for test: Energizer # L91fr6 Model code: L91sbp-4.

Good product.
This is a good product. Easy to install. Works as advertised. Only issue is the product I received has red and green LED-type lights above the key slot, which I did not want and weren't in the picture of the product on Amazon's website. So one star off for that. Otherwise, it's fine. Batteries I used, 4 AA lithium cells, lasted ten weeks before needing replacement.

dead bolt with remote.
Very easy to install, just remove existing dead bolt and follow simple step by step instructions to install remote controlled dead bolt. Installed batteries and it worked perfectly, needed no adjustments. Would like to see marks on the unit to tell you if it is locked or unlocked. The lock button should be colored different than the unlock button. I did this to make it easer to use for my senior father as his eyesight is not as good as it use to be.

Poor Battery life
This was easy to install, easy to program, works well, but the batteries get drained very quickly even if installed perfectly with no resistance. Unfortunately if you are looking for a powered lock I can't recommend this one because for me I had to replace the batteries every month after light use.

Good quality
Mostly worked fine except deadbolt was too longer than my steel door flame hole that could not more deeply drilling. So it makes to confusing running distance gear forward and backwards that makes unacceptable sound and more used ???? battery life is short. I used my old one is 3/8 inch sorter than original. Now smoothly running all. NO Complain.
