Love the shape.
I was looking for this type of shape for over a year and finally found the one. This pot is wider and shorter than regular pasta pot, which seems to heat the things in the pot quicker. The slight curve definitely prevents water from boiling over. I didn’t buy a lid that is sold separately but the lid from my old pot works because the dimension at the top of the new pot is almost the same as the old one that is regular-shaped and slenderer.

Nicely made, but very thin gauge steel.
These early and few reviews seem to be sponsored. This pot is not heavy duty, commercial, or top of the line. That said, it is a very nice pot and seems well made. The shape and size are great. The handles are awesome. I wish more manufacturers would copy them. The bottom is okay. Then we come to the body. This is a very, very thin pot. Maybe the manufacturer can provide the actual gauge, but I would estimate it to be 24- or 21-gauge steel. That would be fine if this were a $40 pot. But at $90, this isn't in the same league as the rest. To be fair, I didn't cook with it as I knew I would be returning it. I have a cheap Everwear saucepan with a similar gauge steel (thicker bottom), and I can only use it to boil things in water, otherwise the sides overheat and scorch whatever is inside. I suspect the same will happen with this pot. Probably fine for pasta and soups, but I would be concerned about chili, stew, or using it to sauté anything. The exterior seemed fine. The description says "nonstick hybrid ceramic," but I don't know what that means. It seemed okay except that, I don't think the coated bottom will hold up on cast iron grates. The pot is beautiful and seems well constructed. But don't expect it to last, and it is priced too high. I've included pictures of stainless-steel pots from Calphalon and All Clad for comparison.

Best of both worlds
I love the dark exterior and stainless interior. It will look new for years to come. It may discolor a bit inside but that’s normal. It retains heat so second helpings are still hot. Love the silicone handles. No need for pot holders. Good size for pasta. Heavy but not too heavy.

My Family FIGHTS Over This Stockpot- How Weird Is THAT?
My family does a lot of cooking. We preserve food and we make most things from scratch so we have a HUGE collection of stockpots from 1 quart up to 20 quarts. When I say huge, I mean HUGE. You would think that after so many different styles of cookware from waterless to heavy duty commercial quality, we would not be that impressed by a new stockpot. HOW THIS COMES This comes in a box which is carefully protective of the pan inside. There is a lot of literature to help you take care of your pans and keep them looking nice and new. QUALITY The quality of this pan is exceptional. I have to say it really is top line quality. The rivets on the handles are over the top strong. The handles themselves are not covered in a tube of silicone, but are DIPPED in silicone coating so they are easy to grip and hold without slipping. The bottom is thick and the inside is brushed finished- not mirror. DESIGN This stockpot is beautiful. The shape is perfect. I can not explain it but the entire family went nuts over this stupid pan. I mean, don't get me wrong, we all love good cookware, but we are not this enamored with much of anything. The proportions are perfectly balanced in terms of width vs height, and accessibility for soups or stews. OUR STOVE We have propane stove so we used this on a cast iron grate propane burner. PERFORMANCE My husband yanked the stockpot from the box when it arrived hollering something over his shoulder about testing. Trust me. He is the LAST person to get excited about testing. He began by boiling water and seeing how fast it boiled. Then he tried noodles. He TRIED to make it boil over, but it didn't. Our test involved using the matching lid at times, but this pan comes separately from the lid. As for soup, it was also fantastic. The soup was brought up to temp really quickly and the vegetables cooked nicely and again quickly. The heat dispersed through the stockpot really well. We have another VERY expensive pan from a waterless cookware company that is too tall vs wide. It is a 6 quart and takes forever to boil. This one just slightly smaller is a dream to work with. CLEANING Our house is not a perfect home. We do not waste time trying to keep our cookware mirror beautiful. Honestly someone will always come ruin it so why bother? This pan and lid washed up nicely and yes there are water spots. That is with any cookware in our home. It is possible to clean it up nicely though and keep it that way if you want to take the time. THE BOTTOM LINE This stockpot had my family fighting over it to use it. I have never seen a reaction to a stockpot like this before. We ALL love it and it is the perfect size for so many things. Performance and quality are exceptional. I would love to own more of this series of stainless steel cookware. MY RATING FIVE STARS. Again, my entire family has gone nuts over this pan (and lid). I have never seen this kind of reaction before to cookware. Not even my rainbow cookware, although it did generate some interest due to the colors.
