If you’re wondering if it’s worth the 50$
Yes. I read the reviews after I ordered and agreed ‘yes 50$ on this owl is ridiculous’. Then it arrived. It’s very big. It’s very soft well made and has metal in its legs so it can fully stand on its own. I used it as display and it’s perfect!

Looks real, grandpa likes it
My grandfather loves owls and I decided this would be the perfect gift for him on his birthday. Especially since it looks real. Well, it does look pretty real. And to be "surreal", after I gave the gift to him I was on the old farm and there was an owl just like this one sitting on the old chicken coop. LOL So yeah, it appears like the company that made this stuffed owl made an effort to copy the real life counterpart. At least with the one I saw. There are several species of owl of course. This particular owl I saw was in North Dakota, and I think the same owl lives here in Colorado. I guess a typical "barn owl?" My favorite part on this stuffed animal is the ears as that's what I think most closely matches the real thing at first sight. Does it stand up on its own? It can with some effort, but it's not perfect. At least with the one I got. Your mileage may vary I suppose. My grandpa has it being held up my some object near his TV in the TV room.

I really liked this but there were tears along the seams
It's very soft it's very nice I like it a lot but there were a few holes in the seam on the left wing. I was able to sew them up very easily but I figured I'd mention it that's the only reason that it lost that one star and I gave it a lower gift ability rating because you'd probably have to sew that up before you gifted and you won't know if this particular one has that issue. But it's incredibly soft and very very nice it's a good size and the leather that makes the beak and claws isn't too tough which I was worried about.

Good but no wow factor
It is nice, my son loves owls this is to give to him for Easter. But it is not lifelike, it looks like a stuffed animal in all sense but I do like the feet being standable. It doesn't knock my socks off for $50 but it's Melissa and Doug so the price is expected
