Husqvarna Z254 - Life Changing!
At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, these blades are life changing. I own a Husqvarna Z254. It's a decent mower, but it has its issues. Anyone who's familiar with this mower knows that to get a decent, fairway type of finish cut, you need to drop the deck all the way down to the lowest setting.... 1. That opens a host of problems. If the yard is dry and there's been no rain, then cutting was easy. If there was any rain and a bit of mud, having the deck that low turned the mower into a dozer. If there's a wet spot, the deck will drag on the grass, causing the wheels to start spinning and get the mower stuck in the mud. I've had to drag my mower out of mudholes with my truck more times than I like to admit. First, a size comparison: I always purchased the regular Husqvarna high-lift blades when I needed replacements (this is my third blade change in the two years I've owned the mower). As I was taking the last set off to put these on, I was telling my wife I've never seen a mower chew through blades like this one does. The up-turned part on the ends of the high lift blades always cracks at the turn. If you hit a rock or anything, the blades are done. They're thinner and narrower than these are. These blades are about double the heft and width of the old Husqvarna blades. I got these put on and got the mower back together and decided to give them a rip around the yard. I dropped the deck to 3 to tackle a soft, muddy spot that I've had to avoid due to over a month of rain every day here in Louisiana. I got it cut with no issue and decided to keep going at the same setting. I made a few passes and noticed it looked VERY much like my normal cut on the lowest setting! Whoa! I selected an area to drop the deck to 1 and made a couple of passes.... and it was a very close cut shave. So I picked the deck back up to 3 and continued on, cutting the entire front yard.... color me impressed! It was the same finish all over as what I normally get on the lowest deck position. So here's why this is life changing... being able to pick the deck up for that finish means I'll no longer drag the deck through thick grass in soft, wet areas, meaning it won't make my tires start slipping and digging a mud hole, meaning I won't be getting stuck as easily or anywhere near as often. See, we HAVE to cut it low here. We get so much rain and the grass grows so fast in this summer heat that if we cut it too high on Saturday, it'll be overgrown and unmanageable by the following Saturday after the work week. My home is on ten acres, 5 of which I mow as "yard", so any time saving is super important. I've had to skip a month of cutting this summer due to every day rains. You can't imagine the mowing we're having to manage right now. Now that I'll be able to cut while it's still wet, I won't have to wait and pray for two to three days without rain to get something done! These will be my new go-to blades. Highly recommended for the Husqvarna Z254/Z254F

Made in USA - Copperhead
My new 54" Husky deck came with straight high lift blades that run too close to the top of the deck to work right. There just isn't enough room above the blades for grass to get out of there. The mulching kit came with a set of blades that just added a wiggle and longer cutting edge to the straight blades. They didn't work any better than the high lift blades. I have been using commercial type mulching blades with my 46" deck. These appeared to be the same type so I ordered a set for the 54" deck. What I received is three Copperhead brand rotary blades. Nice! These are wider and thicker than the original blades. They have at least a 1" drop from the star mounting hole to the cutting edge and appear to be a higher grade of steel. The blades do come coated with paint, so they need to be sharpened and balanced before installing. These blades work much better than the original or the optional mulching kit blades. These blades are so much heavier, I have been idling the engine down about half throttle before pulling the engagement button. Update: 20/OCT/2020: We are getting into Fall and it's time to take the mulching cover off and blow leaves off the grass. Driving a creative pattern with the lawn tractor leaves the yard clean and works much better than a leaf blower. Chopped leaves stay put and turn to mulch faster. The Copperhead blades are still working great. Update: July 2021- Still a Great Value! They did need sharpening and balancing to start the season, but that is normal. The blades showed very little wear and it only took a few quick passes on the grinder to sharpen them.

Great blades
The shipping was fast. I generally get the carbide edged mulching blades, but they were not available. This is the first set of these I’ve used, so I don’t know if there will be a discernible difference yet. I prefer the mulching blade over the standard blade. They are a bit heavier but function fine in my riding mower/lawn tractor. I primarily use this to mow the spring weeds and grasses on about 5 acres. To be honest, I do hit an occasional small rock that has grown during the winter! While it may dull a blade a bit, they continue to function just fine. After I’m done mowing the weeds for the year, I swap them out for fresh blades for the lawn - about an acre. Bottom line - step up to these mulching blades, rather than the plain straight blades. They do a much better job. I will purchase again.

So heavy
Blades last a long time and cut well. Problem is they are wider and thicker so they are heavy. Lawn mower boggs down do to the weight.

They are very good mulching blades and have been durable.
The blades fit perfectly and are the best blades I’ve ever had.

Heavy duty, nice weight, cut well
I have 3+ acres to cut with lots of bumps and trees and heavily sandy soil that really eats up mower blades. Factory blades on my 54” Husqvarna/Craftsman mower are good for about 8 cuts, then are completely dull and the edges are chipped. I grind them back to shape and sharpen but will get maybe three use cycles from them before they’re worn out…about 3 months. These heavy duty blades are much thicker, wider, and of course heavier. That does mean it takes a second longer for them to spin up to speed but also means they do better cutting thick grass and they last much longer. They don’t chip or deform, they can be resharpened many more times, and do seem to hold the edge for longer, too. I typically get 18 months from a set. For reference, I live in the Gulf Coast area of Texas so grass grows all year and has to be cut twice/month in winter and one or two times a week March to October.

The quality was the most important issue.
With these blades, quality and price...priceless. The blades were heavy duty which have lasted over 200 hours or cutting. They cut and mulch....so no bagging is required. Just finished cutting a 2 acre lawn, while raining, and it did an excellent job.

Good price. Fast delivery.
They work great. Mower works less in heavy grass. Dont make as much of a mess in wet grass. Less clumping. These blades do hang down 3/8" to a 1/2" lower than factory straight blades. Used on a craftsman 28hp with 54" deck. Blades are same as picture.
