Good!.... But Drying

I have healthy mixed race 3b curls that are getting finer over the years (I'm only 23) and find themselves easily oily. This product intrigued me at first glance! I was really excited to use it and had been using it every four days on my hair since I purchased it but I can't get past the way it leaves your hair feeling like sandpaper after each use, even with the matching conditioner. I understand that oil control products aren't the most moisturizing, but this feels like it strips my hair to the point where it will become damaged and also strips color-treated hair. I find that my hair is slightly less oily, but not enough to the point where I'd compromise the integrity of my hair with how much it leaves it feeling like string.

Didn't do much for my dry curls

I have longer, white lady frizzyish banana-ish type curls and my hair is drying, especially the blind balyage on brownish with 10% gray & I air-dry. I recently used the shampoo, conditioner & same line styling products for the 1st time with, FOR ME, no great results to mention, sorry. But it smelled WONDERFUL, a little went a LONG way; very rich shampoo. The conditioner didn't leave a slick feeling, it rinsed out maybe too well, so it FELT like I needed to condition again with something heavier or more coating. But I didn't. I'm no expert but I think this product would work wonderfully on the hair of 20-30 yr olds who already had healthy natural hair, even straigh hair, to make it clean, smell good & even better quality. But for curly/frizzy type meduim textured foiled shaft dryish hair like mine, it was not an exciting new discovery. Maybe it needs more flaxseed? Or, market it to non-dry, non frizzyish heads cuz it didn't improve that.

Great lightweight shampoo for thin to medium thick curly hair

I have long medium thick curly hair. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve been noticing the products I used to rely upon do not work the same way. I was often unhappy with my hair. At first I was hesitant because it doesn’t foam much, but it left my hair squeaky clean and feeling fresh. The real test was how my hair looked after it dried. It wasn’t as much curl as I was hoping for, but what there was consisted of nice loose and long ringlets. Reading previous review I know many complained over the smell. I love it. It smells clean and in a way reminds me of something in the mint family. The smell does stay with you, but I did it find it as strong as others said. I only needed a dollop about the size of a quarter and took my time working it in. I am very happy with it so far.
