Excellent toy

Very sturdy toy and just loads and loads of fun. I bought this "branded" toy because I noticed the unbranded ones had lighter plastic and the magnets were not inside, they were on the outside. With this brand, the plastic is very strong and you can't even see the magnets, they are safely inside the plastic. They are also very strong, so there's less frustration with things falling apart. I totally enjoy putting these together myself and they give you a booklet with samples to work on. They aren't cheap, but they are fantastic learning toys and just plain fun too

Great all-around toy for toddlers

I was very impressed with the quality, size, and numerous ways these magnetic pieces could be used. Purchased for my almost 2 year old grandson who has some physical challenges working with his hands. These pieces are very colorful, stick well to each other, and allow for many different shapes to be made. Having them magnetic helps tremendously so he feels more in control. These pieces also stick to other metal surfaces which provides him with lots of play and potential. Even my 30-year old son played with them for an hour!!! Very high quality and happy the magnets are totally sealed inside each piece. Would make a great gift for other kids!!!

Great set

I got this for 8 yr old grandson for Christmas based on reviews and got a 2nd set as they recommended. Grandson loves it and his sister too. I wish the other sets with more pieces were less expensive to add to it. But I will watch to see if they ever go on special pricing. They could do so much more with more pieces. He does use the cards that came with it to get ideas. STEM sets are really good for them.

Magnifying!

My granddaughter loves this! The magnets are super strong and hold up to a lot of abuse. Upon opening it I noticed it came with a little booklet of building ideas for these magnetic pieces. Very handy to include if you aren't that imaginative. All in all a great product!

Magformers are the bomb dot com

Bought on sale for around $40can, man these things are cool but not cheap! They are always super expensive anywhere I see them but have been warned not to buy the knock offs because the quality is unmatched, so overall worth it- just wait until they're on sale (which happens often on this listing). Watch the video too, so many cool things you can do with it and fun for all ages! Highly recommend this product.

Excellent for creative play and such a clever idea. However, very expensive and the 38pc is just not enough especially if 2 kids (or adults - they are very addictive!) are playing with them. Am told much cheaper if bought in USA if you know of any friends visiting!

Worth paying for the original product

Bought this for my son that has special needs. He loves MegaBlocks, but I wanted him to try something a little harder to work with. He had lots of frustrations at first, as he didn’t understand what was happening (why are they sticking together?). But now he loves them! He doesn’t build things with them yet, but he explores how the magnets react. Very sturdy, which is excellent, as my son likes to throw things and let them fall on the ground. For kids with fine motor skills problems, this is perfect, as they have a little challenge to separate the shapes when they’re attached. What we do is stick them all one over the other and my son has to separate them. He’s getting better at it! Thought of buying a generic name, but this one’s worth the price.

Expensive but terrific play value

I have given two sets of Magformers to three year olds cousins. Both mothers have reported that the children LOVE the sets, play endlessly with them, and that these are the toys that come with them on family trips. The Magformers are expensive at just over a dollar a piece but much better value than the cheaper toys that are quickly discarded. They come in bright colours, "clack" together nicely with intelligent magnets that allow easy building for little hands, teach early geometry and allow plenty of play with many imaginative options. I wish that they were more affordable. The bigger the sets, the more the fun!
