Decent Tape Measure But Has Some Flaws
I like the easy read fractions. It has reasonable weight and size. The orange color makes it easy to find. Doesn't look very strong as far as withstanding drops. It is pretty much all plastic. I really don't like the metric included as it makes it look extremely cluttered and disorientating. The thing I really don't like is the extremely fast snap back of the return. Borders on being dangerous if you have a lot of tape out.

Excellent tape measure easy to read However see below
Excellent tape measure with easy to read markings. Others mentioned plastic case might be fragile? Nope, sturdy and bounced it off the cement floor a few times. Held together fine. Love the incremental 1/4" 1/2" etc marks. Makes it easy to repeat the exact measurement without resorting to counting the small lines. Like others have said, Lufkin engineered this tape measure the right way. Now comes the However part: The engineers goofed on the black tang you hook onto your board/item to measure. It is flimsy and has already started to buckle/wrinkle soon to break off. The EXTREME spring loaded snap back on this tape measure does not help. Never retired a tape measure after couple years use. Disappointing as this tape has become my favorite one.

Easy to read. Best tape lock
I have about 6 tape measures in my shop. Som are accurate, some not so accurate. This tape is not only accurate but is easy to read. Best feature is the tape lock which is mounted on the top for easy access. This is now my go to tape measure in the shop. The only minor drawback, is the very strong rewind. It’s a good idea to hold on to the tape when you retract it.

Crazy Packaging
The tape measure is fine once you get it free of the packaging. It took 5-10 minutes and (7) tools to cut it free of the packaging. Good grief!!!

Amazingly hard to remove the plastic packaging
Once you get most of the packaging removed, you are left with the plastic the clip attaches to. You can't remove the clip to help, because the plastic covers the clip screw.

My go to
This is the third time ive bought these. I use these for my job and ive got to say I really prefer them compared to every other one you can seem to find at your generic hardware store. Im really surprised to see more companies dont have the small increments labeled on them. I find them extremely useful at my job when im in a very cramped, dim workspace and just being able to quick see the 3/8 label makes it big help. Other than its your standard tape measure but its just got that little extra. I should note that ive only bought 3 because I tend to lose them not because theyre not durable.

Half a day
By lunch time the first day using it the end is already twisted. They really need a reinforcing bit like some of the more name brand tapes to avoid this (or maybe i just got a fluke bad one?). Love everything else though, easy to read, quick to figure out the fractions, the lock is straigh up addictive and works great. Bonus points because everyone else at my shop uses dewalt or stanley so the orange makes sure nobody accidentally takes it on me. Over all id say perfect if not for the near instant malfunction.

Good quality
I'm a huge fan of Lufkin products and been using their tape measures in our shop and my home for years. shop. It was finally time to purchase new ones and I decided I would try this model. It's well built and does the job but I'm not a fan of the 1/8" increment markings as it looks very cluttered and busy. Still, we've decided to keep them as they are good quality tape measures.

What you would expect from lufkin
I've been using the lufkin easy read tapes for a while but have only been able to find 25 foot tapes in stores locally. I was quite happy to finds this 16 ft version online. This style is my favourite as it has the fractional measurements on one side and the decimal equivalents on the other side. The other great feature is that instead of reading left to right or right to left, the numbers are sidways making it easy to read while marking. Unlike other lufkin tapes I've had, this one has a flat bottom so it will stand up itself while the tape is extended. Overall a good tape.

Love it
Expensive but has become my favourite go-to tape measure. It’s small, easy to handle and I love the fractions and decimals so I don’t have to think about it anymore.

2nd Lufkin in 20 years
Easy to read, seems well built.. This is my second Lufkin Quick Read.. it took me just about 20 years to wear out the first one.
