happy... for a while

UPDATE: I've had this watchstrap for 2 1/2 years, I've gone through periods when I where it every day, but longer periods when I don't wear it at all. It's cracked and falling apart, which seems a little too soon for part time use. Changed my 4 star rating to a 3. My original review is below. This watchstrap looks nice on an oversized watch. Mine is a 38mm Timex Weekender, in the medium range for a man, but large on a women. I was torn between this one and a similar Hadley Roma men's strap. I purchased both and this one worked a lot better for me; it's not overly padded, the length is right, and the slight tapering of the band makes the whole watch a little more feminine. The quick release spring rods made changing the strap really easy. It came with a gold buckle so I had a watch repair shop swap it out for silver. At first the leather was too matte, but it has developed a nice sheen over time. The color changes with the light. Sometimes it's really good looking, sometimes it's kind of blah. I haven't seen a photograph that represents the color accurately. The picture posted with this listing is a lot redder than the actual strap.

Nice band but decided to return it due to lack of quick release pin

I wanted a red watch band to go with some of my watches for Christmas. I did a lot of research online before purchasing this watch band because of its colors (red band, gold hardware), material (leather), affordable price, and quick release pins for switching the band easily. However, when I received the band, there were no quick release pins. I contemplated for days and thought about getting some watch tools to switch the band, but I eventually decided to return it. It's still a nice band that I'd recommend if you already have the tools to switch the band.

Great watchstrap

This watchstrap is terrific. It isn't easy finding one that is the right width and red--my two essential criteria--and this one is perfect. Not only that, but it has an ingenious design for the pins that attach it to the watch. I have struggled over the years with the conventional arrangement of having to get to the spring at the point of insertion into the watch bezel, and it was always incredibly frustrating. More than one spring went flying, never to be found again. Hadley-Roma's solution is to make a tiny opening on the back of the strap through which the spring is easily manipulated. Once I got the old strap off (I ended up cutting it), installation of the new strap took all of thirty seconds. Absolutely brilliant! The quality of the strap is high--well made and durable. And the price was right, too.

Very nice watchband

I was able to get this product for half price because it is sans packaging. It is lighter brown than I expected but the croc pattern stamped into the leather is very nice. I was surprised to see that it came with nice little pins installed into each end ready to attach to my watch with less hastle. It was barely long enough to go around my smaller wrist with the minimum of extra band to insert into the two loops.

Great for small wrists!

I have a 5 1/2" wrist and have difficulty finding a watchband small enough to fit. Usually I have to punch extra holes, then the end of the strap overlaps too much. This band fits perfectly! Even better, it comes with the spring bars, unlike many of the watch bands these days. And it has a sliding button to make the bars easier to install. It also looks well made. I would definitely recommend this band for women with small wrists.

Nicely made - but don't trust the color in pictures

This is a very nicely made strap. Soft leather and has built in pins and little button to help contract pins to install and remove. However, I ordered two of these by mistake - tried to cancel but could not. Strangely, the two straps were completely different shades of blue: so don't trust the color in the picture!

The quality is fine

The quality is fine and it is easy to attach with the built in pins. It is on the short side in length. If you have a larger than average wrist, I recommend looking into band that is longer, this is tight even for an average wrist size. Using second the last eye hole.

Great strap at great value!

Colour is dark reddish brown, like good leather. Very fine quality leather, good feel in hand. Not super soft but feels great on my wrist. The spring bars are designed so that you don't even need a tool to snap it back on to the lugs. Matches my Anne Klein watch perfectly. Well worth the money!

So far I am happy with this strap. It has a little extra button for easier replacement. It appears to be real leather as described and the colour is consistent with the picture shown on Amazon. I might get another one!
