Didn't expect how bright purple they are
I know others say this light is purple but dang they are a very bright purple. They are much brighter than my 150 w heat lamp. The first pic is just the light and it doesn't show how blindingly bright this light is. The second one shows a little bit of how it overwhelmed the 150w heat bulb.

Grow lights
First off I did not read the product discription clearly. I was expecting the light to be full spectrum white light. The light is actually a red/purple color. So if you are planning on using them in an occupied area that maybe a consideration for you. I have set up the lamps in a dedicated room with no direct sun light facing the north side of the building. The cherry tomato plants that have been brought indoors to see if they will thrive and produce throughout the winter are currently growing more vigorously now then when they were on my back porch recieving 8 hrs of direct natural sunlight. They have provided a couple of tomatos already and there are several more growing healthily. There are now several dozen flowers on the two plants that hopefully will be hand polinated and grow. The strawberry plants however appear to be stagnent. They are not dieing but they also are not growing or setting out flowers or runners yet. Nor do the strawberries appear to have gone into winter dormancy. So the lights are good for growing cherry tomatoes indoors but my strawberries may need more time to adjust to their new environment. I have not gotten an electric bill since the lamps were turned on so not sure what the cost of running the lamps for 8 hours a day will be yet.

Purple Light
Light works well as a plant light should. There are always questions about the visible color of the light and it is most definitely purple, so if you need a standard white/yellow light, this is not the way to go.

The Plants Appear to Like It
I’ve had this light on the plants for about 2 weeks. I’m not really sure if they like it or not but they seem to be happy. I did have to move my asparagus fern plant though…he didn’t like the light. I got this light because we live on the East Coast and it’s November. The days are getting shorter and there is less daylight. So I turn on the light around 4:30 pm and leave it on for about 6-7 hours. They get regular daylight throughout the day time as they are next to the window. Time will tell but so far, everything is good.

Very bright and purple, gets hot.
It’s purple, which could be made clearer. It’s also extremely bright, at least to my eyes; you’ll want to put a shade of some kind on it, otherwise you’ll be squinting while working on your plants. It nearly gave me a headache just being in the corner of my eye. What’s concerning is the heat. I’m not thrilled about just how HOT it is, especially compared to my GE bulbs. Not sure how effective it’s been for my plants. My coffee plant looks less happy than it did before this was its primary light. That could be due to a few different things, but I certainly can’t rule out this lightbulb’s involvement.

Weird red light
We expected a full spectrum product to create light that looks like the light created by the regular "Daylight" bulbs - almost absent of any color. These bulbs are a weird dark red color, so we returned them and bought the GE Grow Light product.

It’s pink
It’s a very good quality bulb and I’ll probably buy another of them, but it should be more clear from the pictures that it’s a pink light shed. Not what I was looking for for my lounge room. Having said that, the Xmas cactus in my bathroom loves the other bulb (same) I have and is about to flower for the first time since I’ve owned it. It grew noticeably once the bulb was installed (directly next to it).

Bulb stopped working after 1 use
I used it once and didn't like the purple light but decided to keep it anyway just in case. I stored it in the box and took it out 6 weeks later to try in a different location. The bulb didn't work at all, even though the lamp worked with other bulbs. I tried it out on different lamps but it didn't work in any of them. Very disappointed, especially since I can't return it now.
