Rasy to use!
Have purchased these at a local shop that quit carrying them! Was happy to find this great item on Amazon. Makes removing dog tags sooo much easier!

The Rubit carabiners are top-notch. I've no idea where the complaints are coming from, I believe some people exist on this earth solely to complain about things. I try not to, and even try to offset horrible ratings that are absolutely unfair because someone didn't read the whole product description. These are great, though, no need to skew anything. They are tough as nails, my Brittany puppy had a freak incident where she caught her name tag on something and started pulling to get loose, by the time she squealed in frustration (I was already nearby), she had pulled the keyring almost into a straight line and this carabiner was unharmed and still in perfect working order. Emma was only a few months old at the time, but she's large and strong for a female Brittany. My favorite thing about the Rubit is that it allows the dog's tags to lay flat on her chest with minimal jangling and noise. I'll still use the regular keyrings, instead of looking for sturdier ones, because I know that she can break it if she is in trouble. Great product.

Durable enough for working dogs...
This is my second clip in under a year, I purchased one back in November when I got my puppy. The second one was purchased a few days ago for my new dog. I LOVE this product and will never be without it. I am constantly switching my dog’s collars, with this clip it makes the process super simple. In seconds you can switch from one collar (or harness) to another. Even though my dogs are chipped, I still would never allow them to go without their tags. Certain pounds don’t always scan or they can miss the chip completely. Both dogs are extremely high energy and are constantly on the go, most of the time they run everywhere and will play very rough. The original clip I purchased in November has taken a beating from a rambunctious puppy, and has grown with him to an eight month old extra-large dog. The latest clip has been put to the test by a Dutch Shepherd that never quits and has no obedience training what so ever. Both dogs will rip at each other’s tags during playtime and you can’t even tell. In my eyes this product is absolutely durable and will always be my go to product. I have tried other variations of a tag clip, I have been let down by most because they are more like jewelry clasps. For small dogs this could potentially work, but if you have large active dogs…forget it. This product features a strong clip almost like a carabiner. If the dog scratches or pulls on its tags the force will not pull the clip off the collar because the clip’s opening is located off to the side as opposed to directly on top. I would highly recommend this to all pet owners.

It's working well! (Previously a bad review from 1 to 5 stars)
REVISED REVIEW: Thankfully Rubit discovered my bad review and offered to replace the clip for free. I've tested out the replacement for some time now. I haven't had a single problem with it. It stays on like it is suppose to. After comparing the original one I got and the replacement, the original definitely had a defective clip. The new ones felt much stronger. Rubit sent me a medium and a small and I'm glad they did. I felt the medium made the tags hang too low for my dog's size (the size I bought). I like the small clip much better. I have a 55 lb husky. His collar is at 18 inches and 3/4 inch wide (size for reference). Thank you Rubit for replacing it. I'm happy with it now!!! PREVIOUS REVIEW: After reading mixed reviews about the Rubit, I decided to give it a try anyways. Sadly it broke within 1 day. Carefully looking at its design, I discovered its flaw. The little latch is not a closed shape. It's more like the letter C allowing it to be pulled off. I was able to put the latch back on, but I won't use it in fear of losing the ID tags. I wasn't trilled about how low the tags hung from my dog's collar. Its only positive, it's light weight. I'm sticking to using a keychain ring. (no complaints with the seller)

You will wish you had this sooner!
This is an item you will really appreciate once you have it. I really wish I'd looked for these yaers ago because having to move my dogs tags from one collar to the other was a pain. My dog enjoys water and the outdoors so her collars start to look warn rather quickly. Plus I do admit I get bored with a collar after awhile and want to have a new look. I attached my dogs tags onto the ring that was included (it's not a flimsy one) plus added an additional ring of my own. My dog has five tags so I devide them onto two rings in case one ring comes off (never has but I guess I'm paranoid). Clip is easy to put on and secure once on. After daily wear the color is rubbing off but she also wears a training collar that rubs on it so that probably didn't help. Knowing this I'd probably order the silver next time just because that's what mine is going to be eventually. This was slightly bigger in look than I expected but not bad on a big (60 lb Lab) dog. I highly recommend this product.

I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THIS PRODUCT! LOVE+++
This is as cool as I thought it would be. Everybody, and I do mean everyone, asks me about it, asks what it is, and where did I get it. It works perfect on any finger to hang onto and is so cool to have it on the clip provided in my car. I know there are others out there and I hear they don’t have the ring connected. This one does and it’s fabulous. It looks exactly like the Apple iRing. I got it in gold to match my phone. It sits really nicely to the back of my phone and it is so sturdy. I have yet to worry about it coming unattached. Using the hook in the car is so convenient. I can finally watch what I need to on screen with no distraction to my driving. Not to mention that when carrying items and your hands are full, this thing is so convenient and quality. It goes over any finger allowing to carry everything you need without dropping the phone. Oh! Totally useable on iPads too. LOVE THIS.

Poor lock design
Regrettably, the flaw in this tag is the fact that it can easily become detached from a collar. That is the point of this tag for sure, to be able to easily attach tags to collars, but the hinged mechanism that allows this is too weak and is not failsafe. Just through the dog's natural tendency to shake, the tag has come dislodged and lost on three occasions over the course of a year of our use. I was very lucky to find the tags: once in the backseat of my car and twice outside while we were on a walk. If there can be a better design to prevent the lock from accidentally opening this would get 5 stars. I now refuse to use this for fear of losing his tags again. Back to the old key ring for us.

Makes switching tags between collars/halters/etc a breeze
My first impression was that it was smaller than I anticipated but the size medium is being used on a 55 lb dog with 8 different tags and it fits great. I did find the ring piece to be a bit thinner (and so weaker) than I was used to so switched that out for the one I already had the tags on. UPDATE Mar 18/15 - the hinge part broke off this past week on this clip which I guess speaks to the quality of the item. While my refund was processed immediately as I was still within the acceptable return window, I am disappointed as I think this is a great concept but just too flimsy!!!! Luckily we saw our dog's tags fall off as we were outside at the time and they could have all been lost. Is it was, only the broken hinge went missing - see attached pic.

Flimsy
Same day we placed on collar, must have loosened, lost our license tag, rabies tag and microchipped tag. Will need to replace. Waste of money; don't buy!

STRONG CLIP
I was tired of clips falling off and losing my dog tags. NOT an issue with this item. In fact, my biggest problem was I had to get someone else to put the tags on it as, with my arthritis, I couldn’t do it! Very good quality item.

Small in size but still does the job!
As some other reviewers stated, this "Medium" clip is definitely on the small size. Not that it makes that much of a difference, unless you are trying to cram upwards of 4-5 rings on it. I bought 2 - one for a 60lb dog and the other is on my 86lb dog. Both do the job of holding their tags securely in place and are easy enough to take off and switch onto another collar or their harnesses. Would buy again if needed!
