Versatile AC Circuit Breaker Finder
I recently purchased the AC Circuit Breaker Finder with an integrated GFCI Outlet Tester, and it has proven to be an invaluable tool for my electrical projects. This versatile device has streamlined my workflow and significantly improved the accuracy and efficiency of my electrical work. The circuit breaker finder is incredibly user-friendly, allowing me to quickly and accurately locate the corresponding breaker for any electrical circuit within my home. This has saved me considerable time and effort, as I no longer need to manually test each breaker to identify the correct one. Additionally, the built-in GFCI Outlet Tester is a fantastic feature that enhances the functionality of this tool. With this integrated tester, I can effortlessly check the wiring and safety of my GFCI outlets, ensuring they are properly installed and functioning as intended. This has given me peace of mind, knowing that my home's electrical system is up to code and operating safely. In summary, the AC Circuit Breaker Finder with Integrated GFCI Outlet Tester is an essential tool for any homeowner or professional electrician. Its ease of use, accuracy, and versatile features have made it a must-have addition to my toolkit, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of an efficient and reliable electrical testing solution.

It works
It works as it's supposed to, and the sensitivity narrows after initial scanning. On my Cutler Hammer CH panels it works better if the front cover is off the panel, but it's apparently not so great across the breaker fronts themselves. I just bought it so there may be a learning curve for me, but other reviewers have noted the same thing with CH breakers. Also works for identifying wires on the same circuit in different boxes, not just the breakers themselves. With an old house and electrical many revisions over the years, conduit running everywhere, this is what I really needed. Surprise addition is that the transmitter that you plug in is also a receptacle polarity and ground tester and a GFI tester. I bought the model that came with the accessory pack that includes an adapter for Edison-base light bulb sockets, a 2-prong adapter for non-grounded receptacles (and needed with the light bulb adapter), and an adapter to connect the transmitter to wires, etc rather than plugging it into a receptacle. None of that is crucial, but it was a cheap add-on and wil be handy on occasion. I've had a cheap circuit identifier for years, the blue one sold under many names, but it's never worked well. The only thing that does reliably is turn on and beep whenever it's touched or jostled (no positive off switch). Not sure how many times it actually identified anythiing, except identifying me as a fool for buying it. And it wasn't really that much cheaper than this quality Klein tool. I've always been satisfied with every Klein tool I've ever bought, this one included. No doubt there are more exotic circuit tracers for specialty applications, but this works as advertised for simple 120 VAC wiring.

should have come with a case
this tool is good but it should have come with a case or pouch. There are a lot of aftermarket cases for close to $20 but I didn't want to spend that much so I found a $7 pouch here on Amazon the Ziboo C35 multimeter soft case and cut out the plastic indentions from the Klein packaging and then cut the label from the Klein pakaging and stuck it over the Ziboo label with some packing tape. Not a bad solution for $7

Works like a champ.
This device has saved me so much time especially working on a three story house by myself. It has always worked correctly. I read the reviews of it not working properly but mine has never been a problem. I would buy one of the adapter kits to go along with it.

Would be 5-stars with the circuit breaker finding instructions on the tool itself
I had to replace a light fixture over the weekend and was disappointed to learn that my previous circuit breaker finder had died since it was last used. What transpired was the usual headache of flipping breakers off and on until the right one was discovered. As soon as I was done I jumped on to Amazon to make sure I didn't have to deal with those hassles again and this Klein product was the result. When it arrived the next day I gave the tool a test and it worked exactly as expected - albeit I was careful to follow the instructions. Given the process here is a little more involved than usual with a tool like this, I agree with other reviewers that many of the negative reviews claiming the tool "doesn't work" are quite possibly from people who just jumped in without reading the booklet. Frankly, the packaging was such a headache to open that I almost destroyed my instructions before I had a chance to look at them. I have two suggestions for Klein to make this a better product. The first is to move away from the stupid clamshell packaging to something a) easier to deal with and b) where you could be sure that the instruction manual (or a warning to read it) was the first thing the buyer saw. The second is to put some simple instructions on the receiver itself similar to how the transmitter has the key that explains the various light combinations. I'm guessing most homeowners don't use this tool enough to always remember the process and instruction manuals are too easy to lose. I used my label maker to attach the instructions to the receiver myself, but it would great to not have to do that myself and there is obviously plenty of room given how I accomplished it on my own.

Works well if used properly
Very happy with this unit, having the transmitter store in the base of the receiver means less chance of losing one component. Only the receiver needs batteries, the transmitter is powered by the house power (note that this means it won't work on unpowered plugs, but that's not my usage case so doesn't bother me). I suspect many people using this device are not using it correctly, leading to inaccurate results. With the transmitter installed and working, you need to turn the receiver on and do a full pass over all breakers in your panel, ignoring any beeping. After a full pass, you go back and scan again, then it will give you accurate results (the first pass is just to calibrate the unit). I reset it and do a calibration pass before every new scan when I move the transmitter and it's been very accurate. Then when you find the breaker that has the strong signal, just turn off the breaker and check again. If the breaker is off, the transmitter is also off and you should no longer get a signal, verified! Very easy!

Works Some of the Time but not Always
I have had the predecessor of this tool, the ET-300. I was never really satisfied with that unit as it tended to produce inconsistent results. I suspected that I wasn't using it correctly. I did a lot of research but could never get it to work any better. All the demos I reviewed seemed to be staged to some degree with the person doing the demo getting behaviour similar to what I experienced and faking the outcome When this newer model ET-310 was introduced I jumped at the chance to get one hoping it would be more accurate/reliable. I spent a lot of time tinkering, trying to get it to work, resetting between attempts, but this unit positively identified the wrong breaker on a couple of occasions. I intend to continue trying to better understand how to use this unit properly since I expect I must be doing something wrong. I will do an update later if I can resolve my troubles.

Trash
I am an electrician and I thought this might come in handy, biggest waste of money. I tried it out and it does not find the correct circuit breaker it only senses the same one every time which is not even the correct one

Does not work
It does not work like they say. I was getting three to four dreakers that it detected. And none were the right breaker. I unplugged the sending unit and it still detected three breakers without the sending unit plugged in. Completely garbage will be sending it back. I did find that my Roger's tv equipment set the reciever off and computer equipment did the same. So that is why I was getting the faulty reading on other breakers even after I unplugged the transmitter. Having to unplug all items in a house or an office were you are working is unacceptable so I will be sending it back. I will have to go back to the old way an plug a radio in turn up the volume and flip breakers on and off until I find the one I want.

Can not locate breakers.
I'm an electrician. I tried using this circuit breaker finder at some jobs. All I received were false positives. It would say a breaker was found, I flipped it, and the circuit was still on. When I finally found the correct breaker, by process of elimination, the circuit breaker locator didn't even beep on that breaker the next time. Faulty!
