Difficult to rinse rice
I bought this to rinse rice before cooking. The inside has a ridge that makes it difficult to empty all of the wet rinsed rice out of it. A smooth inner surface where the mesh meets the top circular part would be better.

Love this for the pool skimmer.

Versatile Strainer
This has held up well and is still going strong. I have used it for a variety of scenarios and it is just an all around fantastic strainer. If and when this one breaks, I'll buy this again without a second thought. Spend a little more and get a quality product from a reliable company that will last. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy and I can always get a firm grip on this strainer. My go to for rinsing 1 or 2 cups of rice. Coffee filters have a good fit for additional filtering too. I trust the KitchenAid brand.

Nice Heft!
I bought this a couple months ago and now wonder why I waited so long! It is perfect for rinsing off grains such as farro and rice. It is well designed and good quality. Love it!

Capacity is a bit wanting for my taste (no pun intended)
I am not sure if my family had a frat party with strainer or what, but I came home and it was coming apart at the seams. I use it frequently. I didn't feel like pulling on another pair of pants to hit the store so figured I would order it online and have it on my doorstep by the time I got off work. That part played out well. It is a nice weight, nice looking, works well but it is shallow. In my old one, I could throw in 3 cups of rice and rinse them off with room to spare. 2 cups was a challenge in this one.

Great, large-sized strainer
This is a very good strainer. It has very tiny holes in the mesh, so you can strain anything in it. I love that it's larger than the tiny ones I've owned in the past. It's large enough to strain a fairly large amount of pasta (like a package of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese). It's very sturdy and goes through the dishwasher beautifully.

Seems sturdy, 6" vs 7"
Really 6" vs 7" Appears they include the thick black (Has no use) outside rim in their measurements. Also, as it is only 6" of useable strainer it means the strainer doesn't have as much capacity as a true 7" one does. Rice grains also got trapped under the inside rim due to design. I had to return mine. Did seem sturdy, so might be okay depending on what you are using it for (ex flour), but I'm not sure

Ok so a colander is a colander, but.... a Kitchenaid colander is super quality, super colour and handy for straining all sorts.
