Actually works!

This is an easy-to-use kitchen tool that actually puts a razor edge on almost any straight blade (although I haven't used it on ceramic cutlery nor a serrated edge). I mean, incredibly, DANGEROUSLY sharp! Like many competing gizmos, it has two tungsten (I'm assuming) pieces arranged in a V-shape for a rough edge, but adds a couple of ceramic pieces for a fine edge. Also like competing gizmos, I don't expect it to last forever, but until than, it makes sharpening blades a lot easier (and cheaper) than working with various grades of whet stones, a sharpening steel, several hours of tedious training and about 20 minutes of scary work A great find.

My mom has this favorite knife of hers that she loves. The thing was incredibly dull. A few passes with the knife sharpener and voila, like new! I was amazed on how smooth and easy it was to use. My mom nearly sliced her finger off when she tested it out after the sharpening because it was buttery smooth to cut into meats now. We made some great carne asada. Be careful because it really works and if you are used to applying force when cutting this will be a game changer. I like how it also handles serrated knives as well. I really hate using the sharpening stone. I feel like a caveman.

It works!

I have 2 very old large knifes. It sharpened them very easily. I used both knife and cuts through meat like brand new knifes. Glad I finally made the purchase.

GREAT!

I kinda love this! It worked really well with my knives. I have it in the drawer and sharpen my knives at least once a week to keep them extra sharp. I hate a dull knife and this solves that issue anytime I need it. Love that it's small enough to keep ini the drawer. The only thing is the suction isn't the best but it's not like it flings off when you sharpen so it works perfect for me.

Doesn't fully sharpen it but sharpens it decently

The knife sharpener didn't sharpen the knives fully but it was decently sharpened- sadly not to the point where it can slide through an onion. But it's decent!!

A very handy thing for the kitchen

This is an efficient tool. There are numerous brands of knife sharpeners in the market, but, most of them have only single stage grinding using a Carbide or HSS tool. This one offers a second stage of finishing using a ceramic tool. By finishing the ground knife-edge, the knife would stay keen longer. I tried it out on a couple of knives and the results were good. I have taken away one star because the aluminum part that you see in the picture --- just a cosmetic thing to show the brand name and markings --- has come off. However, that does not affect performance.

The knife I use for virtually all my slicing & dicing needs, was becoming quite dull; trying to slice through tomatoes or peppers was becoming a dreaded challenge. I did not want to have to replace the knife (it isn't made anymore and wasn't inexpensive), particularly since it's my favourite and the only one I've ever owned which felt like it was made for my hand. I had no idea where/if I could have it sharpened, or how/if I could do so myself without ruining it. I knew I would not have the first clue how to use one of those stones, so I started to research other knife sharpeners. I immediately ruled out any electric options since they all seem to cost as much, or more, than my knife itself. When I came across this one, my first thought was: surely such a little device, one at this price point no less, would be useless? But after reading all the positive reviews I figured it was at least worth a shot...... Well! That was of of the best decisions I have ever made. I cannot believe how quickly, effectively and safely this sharpened my knife! All it took was three swipes through each slot, to bring my blade back to its original sharp edge. It was extremely easy to use/hold, and thanks to the rubber bottom, it stayed safely in place and didn't slide around. I also really love the fact that this is small enough to just toss into my cutlery drawer, so it is always within easy reach and does not take up any of my (very) limited storage space. I have no idea how long something like this should last, but given how effective it is and the almost ridiculously low price tag, I cannot imagine why anyone would ever use anything else? Bottom line? Yes, I would strongly recommend this product.

Brilliant knife sharpener

Works very well. I got all my knives sharp in a jiffy. I've been trying to hone them with those honing rodsrods, just couldn't do it right. This one is a breeze to use. Remember to hold the knife straight and swipe it across smoothly. It's better to use the counter edge while at it. That way the knife will not damage the sharpener. Btw, I did a lot of research on affordable knife sharpeners before zoning into this one.
