Well made but has design issues

I have been living with these shoes for two months now. They are well made and very sturdy. In my opinion there some design flaws that warrant mention: 1. As others have mentioned they are sized small. I carefully used their recommended measurements of my foot to determine the size they recommend. This did not seem correct based upon other shoes over the decades that I have bought (one size too small). Based upon the comments here, I bought one full size larger; my normal shoe size. That seemed to be about the correct length. 2. The tongue of the shoe though minimally adequate seems to be at least a half inch too short at the top based upon the height of the laces where they fall on the tongue and the placement of the loops on the side of the shoe. When the shoe laces are tied normally the knot is uncomfortably close to the top of the tongue. As stated minimally acceptable but I would expect a higher level of function based upon the cost of the shoe. 3. The width of the opening that the tongue covers is excessive. Although the tongue of the shoe covers the opening the eye loops seem excessively far apart. The tongue barely covers the side of the shoe. As stated before minimally acceptable but I would expect a higher level of design based upon the cost of the shoe. 4. The shoes are comfortable enough when being worn as normally laced but when walking my heel moves in the back part of the shoe. When walking, even though the front of my foot and arch area is held firm my heel moves within the shoe. This can be moderately mitigated, but not eliminated, by lacing the shoe tighter. This tightening of the laces seems to, for me, create an uncomfortable pressure on the top of my foot. The shoe is very well made to the design specifications but , the shoe seems to have been designed to very minimally acceptable operational specifications. I have worn Keens products for over ten years; would I buy another of this model of shoe, no based upon what I perceive to be design flaws,

A good work shoe

This shoe is a great work shoe. The fit was quite close. A little loose in the heal depending on what socks you wear. I’ll probably start wearing this brand or style as Keen is the only shoe I can wear.

Disappointed

I bought these for my husband and they fit his size 15 feet just fine, except for the rubber part that goes across the top. I did buy the wide size, but where the rubber part met the sole of the shoes on both side (near his big toe and little toe), there was no give when he took a step and it was causing redness, irritation and blisters. Unfortunately, he wore them to work to try to break them in (thinking that would help), but it didn't and now we can't return them. Lesson learned.

Best work shoe for ladder climbing and walkable roofs . Tough exterior , waterproof and very comfortable recommend will buy again for next work season

Not for every day use

After a year and a half of limited weekend use the sole is split. Not sure I would call these work shoes. I can only imagine what would have happened if I used them every day. Customer service responded with a 20% coupon gee thanks.
