A little flimsy but good for wet winters
If these stand up to the test of time then I will buy them again. I live in SE Alaska, and we get a mixture of rain/slush/snow in the wintertime. I have been buying regular Kamik snowboots for my girls, and these were nice and warm. However, like other reviews, I found that the "waterproof" fabric top wasn't waterproof enough for our conditions (I don't think it is intended for puddle splashing). This year I was looking for something more practical, and was sold on these because my girls needed new rain boots also; in other words these killed 2 birds with one stone and saved me money. On arrival I was pleased at the thick and removable liner, but I did note that the boot part itself seems a little thinner than most rubber boots. This may not be a problem for you, but my kids destroy boots. They have went through 3 pairs of XtraTuffs and Northerners this year because they are outdoors a lot--hiking in the woods, playing on beaches, and climbing on boulders in our yard. Almost every type of rubber boots I have tried so far winds up getting slices in them from our rough terrain after about 2 months. The one exception is Crocs--they make a rubber boot that seems to be indestructible (I've passed pairs down through 3 children). The other good news is that if someone goes over their boot (as I'm sure your kids Never do...) you can wipe out the inside with a paper towel and it won't be damp. Anyhow, back to these particular boots. They do run a little big. My almost 7 year old was wearing tight 13s in her other Kamik snowboots and rain boots in general, so I bought her a 1, which was HUGE. I wound up keeping the 1 and buying the 13, which still leaves her room to grow. They are cozy and keep both my girls feet warm, and the kids love the designs at the top (we have a black and purple and a pinkish pair). Sometimes the liners get messed up inside and crinkle funny, causing complaints when this happens (it has happened about 5 or 6 times since we bought them). We have had the boots about 3 weeks now and they are holding up well so far, but the kids haven't been to the beach or in the woods recently. If they hold up I will buy them in future years, but I wouldn't pay over $30 for them (there were huge price increases on these after I bought the first round, so I am just warning you). I'll try to update as time goes on.

Worth Every Penny
My daughter's feet grew three sizes in 6 months, so I was quite hesitant to spend more than $20 on a pair of boots that could potentially only last a couple of months. After not finding a cheaper boot that met my daughters needs, I decided to go with these. What sold me on the boots, besides the great reviews, is the ability to take out the liner. I figure when the weather gets warmer, I can take out the liner, which will hopefully add more space as her feet grow. I am sure glad I made the purchase. My daughter loves these boots! From the day she received them, she's wanted to wear them every day. Just a few days after they arrived, it snowed and these boots kept her feet warm and dry. They are study, but not too bulky or heavy. It's been about a month since she's received the boots and she still tells me she's glad I got them for her. They are completely waterproof, great for the snow, and the adjustable strap at the top helps to keep the snow out. My guess is that I will be purchasing these boots every year until my daughter is old enough to pick out her own boots, and maybe even after that. My daughter is 2 1/2 and her feet are in between sizes 7 1/2 and 8. I ordered an 8, which fits her perfectly with the liner.

it was easy for him to move around in the snow
Ordered a size 1 for my son who is currently wearing a size 13 now. There is room to grow but it's not uncomfortably big. Hoping they'll fit next winter as well. We have had some snow already. They kept my son's feet warm and dry. They are light weight, it was easy for him to move around in the snow. He said that these are the most comfortable boots that he has every had. The snow has melted, he wore them on a quick bike ride. He put his foot down to stop and some of the rubber bottom pulled off. Not a lot but enough for us to realize that these are seriously only snow boots. He has worn his Bogs riding his bike several times and has done the same thing with no tearing of the soles. Our Michigan family rides bikes if there's dry pavement no matter the temp, so having boots to be able to wear while riding would have been nice. Some reviews mentioned removing the liner and wearing them as rain boots. This might not be too comfortable. The footbed has circle cutouts, might need to buy an insole for that to work. All in all, I am pleased with these boots. We'll see how long last for being half the price of Bogs.

Excellent, Comfortable, Warm and Dry kids boots for fall/winter
I'll preface this review by saying that we live in Alaska so our need for insulated boots is probably higher than most places. That being said, these are our favorite fall boots! If it's wet and muddy - like fall tends to be here - all the little toes stay warm and dry in these. We've tried Bogs but the top cuff where it hits the middle of the shin tends to really rub badly after endless days of wear. Not the case with these Kamiks! They get worn every single school day from the end of August through November when the real cold hits and no complaints about sore shins! Real, true Alaska winter is too cold for these boots. Come November when the snow is sticking around and the temps stay below 25, we switch to something more snow-specific. In a warmer climate, they'd probably work all winter long. Prior to November, these do the job just fine when we're dealing with quick, wet, slushy snow that disappears by the next midday. We've tried many boots over the course of the years and these are the best wet/cold/mud/slush boots we've found so far.

Nice snow boot
Shoes are good and comfortable to my little one. They are not so flexible and attractive but are warm which is important to me. She wears it to school everyday. Manufacturers should make them little colourful. By the looks it looks like rain boots and they are but they have thermal protection inside

Very good snow boot
These are amazing snow boots. They keep feet warm and dry. We have already had weeks of snow where I'm from, so they got good use.

Love these! They're very light and can be worn as winter boots for a season and then when their feet get bigger, you can take out the liner and they can be rainboots. My son loves them and so far they've been warm enough in -0 temps.
