Fit the old Forney welder.

The old socket was Aluminum, as is the heavy almost 1/4 inch wire going to it. The new socket is brass , concerned about putting dissimilar metals together I used Ox-Gard, an anti oxidant compound on the joint. Not sure if it’s the best way, time will tell.

I'm happy!

Works with my old F225. The only difference I noted is the size of the shoulder of the plastic nut is not as big as the original, because I had to close the jaws of my crescent wrench a little to snug them. But it functions just as well. I'm happy!

Installed great. Solid copper wire barely fit in the hole

Works with modification

This product is advertised to work with Forney C Series welders but required some minor modification to actually fit and work with my model C-3 welder. Further research in forums show other people have the same issue. These new jacks aren't held to quite the same specs as the old ones, so stuff doesn't fit together quite as well. That being said, a couple minutes with a drill and it seems to work fine now.
