remote glitches

The heat remote doesn't show the numbers correct i tried resetting and unplugging but the numbers are glitched and 5 shows 6 or 3 shows 5 hard to gauge what i have it set at

Curing Sweet Potatoes

Terrible customer service, heat mat broke after just one season

This heat mat worked great for the couple of months that I used it in 2020. Tons of heat, very responsive to the thermostat, and my tomato seedlings loved the warmth. At the beginning of February this year, I got everything set up and put my seeds on the heat mat under some lights. It didn't seem as warm as I remembered, but I thought that must have just been my imagination. After a month of use, I realized that it was barely warmer than room temperature. So I contacted iPower customer service on February 25th. I let them know that I purchased the item on January 29th 2020, and that I was experiencing problems. ------- Feb 26, 2021, 9:33 MST Thank you for contacting us. As mentioned in the previous email correspondence the item was purchased on last year 1/29 This item was out of warranty as the item has one year warranty. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter -------- Feb 26, 2021, 14:34 MST Thank you for your response. I must admit that I'm disappointed that despite the warranty being only for one year, that the company doesn't seem to care that their product failed at 13 months. Wonderful hearing that, definitely crucial to use the thermostat that comes with it

I love these heating mats! I’m a houseplant addict, and also start seeds for an outdoor garden on one. I first purchased the smaller version of this a while back, and loved it so much that I then bought a big one. This is my second of the large ones so I own a total of three including the little one. I love that it comes with the thermostat, and that way you know that you’re not going to risk burning your plants or seedlings. The thermostat works perfectly. It first arrives rolled up rather tightly, and might seem difficult to spread out. Here’s a little tip that I learned: When you first take it out of the package, plug it in and get the thermostat programmed. Lie the mat down on the floor or a table. Leave it alone for an hour or two, and once it’s heated up it will be much more pliable. Then you can spread it out the way you want it. I did it when it was just a bit more pliable, and put a few heavy items on the corners to hold it in place. Once it’s warm and flat, it will retain its shape just fine!

Best Deal of the Decade!

These are absolutely perfect for me and my growing needs. The are not temp control, but I just need them to start seedlings. You do need a separate unit to control time and temp. I already have that unit and these work with it. I laid them out on the shelf and plugged them in. 20 minutes and they were warm and supple and hold almost 5 trays. With 2 they are going to hold 10 jiffy trays. If you are using jiffy seed starters or any 11x22 tray you will love these, and at this price you really need to get these if you want to start seedlings quickly and efficiently. I sell vegetable, fruit, and flowers in the spring and these just let me double, maybe even triple what I will have to offer this year.

Not great

Took a long time to arrive; tempurature gauge doesnt seem accurate at all, in fact doesnt work. Basically on or off because heat setting, and temperature up or down do not work. The mat did enable fast germination, but for seed that needs specific temperatures (one of the main reasons I bought it), forget it. Didn't return because it was such a stupid wait to get the thing.

Your better of spending a few more dollars and get the Vivian seedling mat

I liked that the product was a easy set up. However the temperature control isn't the best, I did an analysis assessment on this product this particular product does hold good temperature. I did a comparison between the I power GLHTMTSX22PACK DURABLE and VIVOSUN 2pack durable waterproof. I placed the same amount of seedlings on the different seedling heat mat. The seedling on Vivosun gave better results 2 days germinate of the seedling. The seedling on the iPower seedling mats has take 5 days to germinate.

Press the set button for three seconds then you can set the cutoff temperature up or down.

There is lots of air bubble despite the fact that i straighten the mat after unroll it and put on a flat surface while it is warmed up. The manufacturer can do a better job of laminating the resistance coil between 2 polyvinyl sheet.

The temperature probe is separate from the mat.

Wish it came with a built in pocket that you could secure the probe with for more consistent readings. I use it under new born puppies to keep warm. With puppies and mom moving around the probe gets disconnected from the mat.

sounds crazy...but we make heated boxes for the feral cats for the winter. it hits -40 here never had a frozen cat in the heated boxes
