Good for kefir
It works for my use however it is not a super sturdy strainer. Has a small spot on the edge where screen did not get fully attached.

Not sure why the tag says stainless Steele when it's supposed to be plastic.
Seems like a durable plastic though and looks like the pictures. The black rim and neck both have a bit of weight to them, doesn't feel like they'll snap. Will update after I've washed and used it.

Perfect for making Keifer at home
My wife uses this almost daily to make Keifer at home. It works well, strains out the grains perfectly, and is easy to clean (for a strainer at least). It is sturdy and has held up to daily use and washing very well. We needed one that did not have a metal screen and this definitely does the trick. Very happy with this purchase.

Cheap and useful
I use them to strain out the dust from my bunny food pellets. Since usually around the bottom there is dust all over it and it suck to hand pick them out

Good for Straining Kefir
Bought for straining kefir and it does that job well. Basket is deeper than any other handheld strainer I've seen so it's good for dumping a full quart jar into it all at once. Might be good for a half gallon but I haven't tried that. Mesh gauge is very good; produces a very smooth kefir with a few rubber spatula swirls around the basket, but not so fine that it's an overly slow process.

Works fine but mesh was separated a bit
Wasn't in selling condition when I received it. The mesh had a separation in it and the label didn't even reflect the item I received, it was weird.

Brilliant strainer
I love it, its a good quality strainer that does what is intended. Its sturdy under the weight of boiled rice, no sagging handle . Very pleased. Having read the various comments in review, I can only wonder why some folks didn't like theirs.
