Best Style of Bamboo Spoon

Replaced beloved bamboo spoon lost after decades of service. Perfect replacement. This is the best paddle you'll find for stir frying and all sorts of other cooking chores. A nice blend of spoon and spatula.

Hasn't chipped/split after a few months of use, but stained on the first use. I keep it on a spoon rest while cooking and hand-wash it immediately after cooking - I do not use it to serve, yet still it is stained after one use. This doesn't bother me in the slightest, just pointing it out to contrast customers who have not experienced this. With Indo-Chinese cooking, it will stain! Update 8/25/16 : After about 8 months of use, the bamboo corner spoon has broken.

The right size, but...

Perfect size, and the shape lets it get into corners of pans. However, I knocked off a star because the handle left splinters. I sanded it smooth, now it's fine, but I was disappointed.

Great Kitchen Tool

My husband ordered this for me after he accidentally splintered my favorite wooden spoon in the blender : ) It is larger than my previous one, but I see that as an advantage now, especially when cooking in a 12" skillet. I use this spoon almost every time I cook, and that is several times a week. Very functional, practical, and economical!

Multipurpose cooking spoon/spatula

This Helen Chen bamboo corner spoon is unique because it has a rounded side and a straight side. This makes it good for stir-frying, making sauces, and cooking in general. It replaces two of my wooden utensils; a spoon and a spatula. It has a nice finish and does not absorb cooking oil and ingredients like my normal wooden spoons. It is easy to clean with a sponge, dish soap and water. I would not put it in the dishwasher.

Does the job

We have this bamboo corner spoon for more 1.5 year. We have a ton of cooking spoons/spatulas or various materials (wood, bamboo, silicon etc.). Somehow, everybody always reaches for this spoon. Made the mistake of putting a wooden spoon in the dishwasher - which dried out the wood. So I always wash my bamboo and wooden spatulas/spoons by hand. Try not to use soap. When the oil seep into the bamboo, it would prolong the life of the utensil. Back in 2019, we paid $8ish for it. Price has gone up a lot! Would buy a couple more if the price is right.

Best wooden spoon

Has lasted me for years. Love the angle on the end. Great for stir fries without scraping up my non-stick pans.

Not worth the money

I thought this bamboo spoon would be measurably better than what you can get at a dollar store. It's not. After a few weeks of daily use and hand wash, the bamboo fibers are starting to peel off making the surface rough. I'm sure in a few months I'll throw it out in the garbage.

Great spoon

It is a great quality bamboo spoon. We have used it daily. It is well made & finished well with smooth edges & resists water & did not fray. It is worth the the $10. The $2 bamboo spoon that the viewers complained about is mass produced with some imperfections & not finished well. You get what you pay for.
