I love these lined Haflinger clogs for cooler weather. I have a few pairs of the regular Haflinger boiled wool cork footbed clogs, and I always wear a size EU 40 (women’s US size 9) in those, even though I’m a U.S. size 10 in regular shoes, because of how much larger/wider German made Haflinger clogs are. I took the advice of other reviewers & ordered an EU 41 in these lined clogs, & am so thankful I did. These are much narrower & smaller than the regular Haflinger wool clogs. That’s great for people who have narrow, or regular width, feet. The EU 41 is perfect in length & snug on my foot, with or without thick socks. People who have very narrow feet & can’t wear the wool Haflinger shoes because of how wide they are should find these lined clogs to fit well. People who have very wide feet might want to pass on the lined Haflingers because they might be too tight. They are very snug on my average B width foot, but not uncomfortably so. I love the more snug fit, & since they’re leather instead of wool, they should stretch with wear. A size EU 40 would have definitely been too short/tight, so I recommend you size up 1 size from what you wear in the boiled wool Haflinger clogs, OR order the EU equivalent of your standard US size, since most EU sizes are about 1 size larger than American shoe sizes. These come in the standard Haflinger shoe box with the standard Haflinger tags attached, so they are authentic Haflinger. I always put cork sealer on my Haflingers before wearing them to protect the life of the cork footbed, and I spray them with a water & stain repellent shoe spray for leather & wool/cloth shoes since Haflinger shoes are not washable, other than spot scrubbing. The footbed in these is leather over cork, and the faux fur lining is on the top and sides only. The comfort of the footbed is standard Haflinger, although I don’t think the arch support is quite as high as my boiled wool clogs, which I like, because sometimes the boiled wool clogs have a little too strong of arch support for my fallen arches, and the cork footbed molds to your foot with wear, which means they get more comfortable over time. Haflinger clogs have helped alleviate the pain from my plantar fasciitis so much. I highly recommend these lined Haflinger shoes, as well as the boiled wool unlined clogs. Just remember the faux fur takes up space, and the cut on these leather clogs is more narrow & shorter than the boiled wool version, so order the EU equivalent of your regular US size shoes, OR if you have the boiled wool Haflinger clogs, order 1 size up from what you typically wear in the boiled wool style clogs. If you want your Haflinger shoes to last a long time, be sure to buy & apply cork sealer & protective water/stain repellent spray BEFORE you wear them. Haflinger comfort and quality is excellent, and I adore all my Haflinger clogs. I wear them as both house shoes and out as street shoes, and they are excellent for both uses. They have helped with my foot pain tremendously. Highly recommend!
