Love the non-bulky shape

Love this jacket. Unlike the other winter jackets I've owned this one is super light (upon opening the package I had doubts that this would be warm with our Wisconsin winters) and has a complimentary shape. It could be a bit warmer; I wear it with turtlenecks and sweaters and still don't think I'd wear it below 10 degrees F; but then I'm always cold. I'm 5" 8" and 155 lbs. I bought the extra large because of my big ol' hips, and it's roomy enough for lots of movement - I have a dislike of tight clothing. Love the color and the jacket still gives me a feminine shape.

Writing this from Ireland

To start I live in Southern California where these kinds of jackets are a foreign concept because it is 120 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer and 70 in the winter. I took a trip to Ireland where I am at currently and after todays experience at the cliffs of moher I had to write this review. I did my research on this jacket first of all. Today it did not disappoint. While the sliver thermal inline is not all that flattering it really provided the warmth I needed. I layered with a thin sweater and a long sleeve shirt underneath. I was sweating while hiking around the cliffs in 36 degree weather. Then comes the torrential down poor while hiking and the wind. I couldn’t feel a thing from the wind and while my jacket was soaking wet on the outside I was completely dry underneath. My only discomfort was the water dripping off the bottom of the jacket onto my jeans getting those soaking wet. Oh well for that. Needless to say I was super impressed with the jacket. An extremely happy find and purchase. The jacket is flattering, comfortable, packable, you can roll it up small in a suitcase so it won’t take up much room.

Very warm

I live in Colorado, so this coat is perfect for our weather. It is very warm without all the bulk of a regular winter coat. I'm 5'6", 220, and ordered a 3X. It's a little big on me, but I like that because I can sit down in the coat to drive or watch a football game and the zipper isn't being stressed. And I can wear a sweater underneath and don't feel like the Michelin Man. I love the length too. It will keep my hips and bottom warm when I sit on bleachers at football games in the Fall.

Columbia jacket excellent…

This jacket really met my expectations. Its not very thick but light product. Despite this it keeps warm because of omni-heat feature and very comfortable. I liked it a lot…

Flattering but not toasty

I really like this coat but I'm not the biggest fan of the silver lining. When you put the coat on, it's cold and takes a minute to warm up. Once it's warm to your skin, it's really only kind of warm and I've never felt toasty warm in it. I live in Seattle where it's typically in the 30's and 40's in late winter. It does have a very flattering shape, that's fitted and perfectly long. I also don't love how it feels on my neck when it's zipped all the way up. All in all, it's a great jacket that looks polished and keeps you comfortable, I just don't think it's toasty warm and I would have preferred a soft fabric on the inside. Looks great with leggings and is very comfortable for walking.

My favorite coat ever!

Surprisingly warm for how lightweight it is. I live in Wisconsin and waited to write my review until I had worn it through an entire winter. Kept me toasty without all the bulk of my other winter coats. Highly recommend!

Perfect car coat

I bought this to replace my old car coat that's gotta be about 15 years old. It's also a Columbia brand coat and has seen some things over the years, lol. This coat is pretty perfect for me, it's just a little too long. It comes almost down to my knees which would be a bigger problem for me if it didn't zip in both directions. It's very comfortable and I love the thumb holes. The omni heat liner works well and the water proofing is awesome but it doesn't really stop the wind from getting through so on really windy days you need to layer up.

Used and Soiled, with a very bad odor.

I am very sad to report that this coat had been worn and soiled. The hood was full of long black hair. The hood stunk of dirty head. The neck area is all soiled and dark with human oil. The pockets were open. Coat was unzipped. It is in used condition. Because of the dirty person smell. I've got it in the wash now. I would have never purchased had I known it was worn. Its a soiled Colombia Jacket. I could have found better at Goodwill but we're in a Pandemic, so certainly thrifting is out . I won't send back. I'm washing it. It was approx $170. With tax. For a soiled coat. The neck area is black from sweat. Its a tan coat. Especially in a pandemic this is not ok. Very disappointed. Very unsanitary. I'm actually feeling quite sad about this.????
