This is an inexpensive and attractive way to conceal a third hole bored in a sink, when you need to replace a faucet, and don't need that extra hole. I selected this product so the chrome finish would match the Grohe faucet that I purchased.

plastic piece that goes under the escutcheon has undersized side holes

I bought this to install a centerset faucet, soap dispenser, and airgap in a 4-hole sink. Should have been straightforward. The metal escutcheon plate proper has holes that are the right size. But the plastic piece that goes beneath it has side holes that are somewhat smaller. The soap dispenser that I was looking to mount in one of the side holes won't fit. So this product doesn't help me. The package arrived open. So maybe something got mixed up. I called Grahe customer support to ask how wide the holes in the plastic piece was supposed to be. After a 29-minute wait, the lady who answered said that she didn't have specifications. I'm giving up and returning it. Two stars on the review because the product seems like it could have been useful to someone else. Just not to me.

Grohe Chrome Escutcheon

Purchased this item for a Grohe kitchen faucet that came without one. I was looking for something to cover the remaining holes and also wanted to add a soap dispenser. i didn't actually think that I would find something with only two holes but found this. It worked great and the finishes all matched up. I couldn't have asked for anything more except for maybe some instructions as I was not a plumber who was used to installing this type of product.
