These socks are genuine FOTL

Some reviewers stated these are not Fruit of the Loom. However, the packaging is quite clearly FOTL. If these socks are fake, the imposters have done a bag up job on the packaging. I’ve worn these tube socks for years and the ones I received are genuine. Will definitely buy again.

NOT Fruit of the Loom

For the Black size 6.5-12. NOT Fruit of the Loom, just a generic unbranded sock That's the factually important thing. They're visually quite similar, and may even be factory seconds, but they completely lack any FOTL branding (should be on the arbitrary 'bottom' of the toe seeing as these are tube socks) What they are: What they are is 59% polyester black over-the-calf tube socks, of a *factory seconds* quality. Other than the lack of branding, and the significantly higher polyester content, and being a thinner material, they are visually indistinguishable from the last black FOTL tube socks I purchased, pre-pandemic. The official site shows the same fiber content as this listing, so I believe that's just an acknowledgement that the official product has, also, gone downhill So, I'm reviewing these as just cheap, black, OTC tube socks. They reach the bottom of my knee (women's 8.5/ men's 7). They stay up fine on my very thin calves, and have enough stretch to accommodate thicker calves without being binding. They're reasonably warm. There's a 2" difference in length in the first pair I pulled out of the bag. I'm only 5'7", so it's not enough of a length issue to keep the shorter sock from being a true OTC, but it might be an issue for a taller person Overall: The product is 4.5/5 stars for value. The quality could be better, but I ordered cheap black tube socks and got cheap black tube socks. They're not blatantly garbage. They're warm, they go up to my knees... I'm ok with the minor issues, given the reasonable price of a difficult to find product The seller is 0/5 stars for selling unbranded, factory seconds quality socks as genuine FOTL. Shame.

They’re great!

Just had surgery so I have limited mobility. These are easy to slip on and pull up. Plus they stay up all day! Love ‘em!

Perfect

My husband had to have all his toes amputated on one foot. The cost of socks for amputees is crazy expensive and all are compression socks. (Which he doesn’t need) We found these and they are perfect for him as there is no defined heel on them so they fit both feet!! He says they are very comfortable!!

Definitely worth the money

These socks worked very well for their cost. I used 2 of the pairs to insulate my hose bibs outside my house, as well as to wear. They are soft, warm, and comfortable. There are two reasons I’m giving it 4 stars however. The first is that they don’t do the best job at keeping your feet dry, so you can have some sweaty feet after a long day. The second reason is that the is constantly fuzz coming off of them onto my feet after a long day. So expect to take a shower to clean your feet when you take them off.

Excellent quality but taller than expected

These socks are very good quality and so far appear to be durable, though they have not as yet withstood the test of time. But I am by no means entirely satisfied. In looking at the photo I was not expecting that they would hit the bottom of the kneecap. I bought these for a family member who is 6‘2“, quite long in the leg, and wears size 11 shoes. Certainly you would think that his feet and legs would fill out the socks sufficiently and they would hit around the calf as they do in the photo.. They do not, they come up much higher. The issue with this is that he works in a fabrication shop that can get very hot, even in the cooler months. He is finding that he has to roll the socks down as they are making his legs too warm, and when rolled down they feel too tight. I purchased these on sort of an emergency basis. He is staying with me due to going through a tough time, and I was putting in his laundry and noticed that every pair of his socks had holes. He wears his clothing very hard at work. So the socks arrived quickly and are passable for now but they will have to be replaced. He can keep them as back ups, but that is not what I was intending when I purchased them. I was hoping to help him out by providing socks that would last him a few months. Perhaps these socks would work well for exceptionally tall men, 6‘4“, 6‘5“, or men with very large feet. But for your average man these socks are not really appropriate for daily wear. Perhaps they would be useful in a cold environment as a base layer, maybe for winter sports, but as work socks they’re hardly ideal.
