Easy to. Install.
I unplugged the old one and plugged in the new. Put a new bulb in and it worked. A word of warning. I did not set out to repair this part. I had to replace a broken oven coil, also easy. When I went to push the stove back in place I noticed the porcelain bulb holder was pretty burnt looking. I am surprised it never caught fire. It's worth a look if you have the back of the stove off. Five minutes and a couple of bucks is well worth it.

It Works!
The tenant had bought a replacement light bulb already, but it did not work either. So, I looked for potential repairs on YouTube. I found that the oven’s socket could also be the problem. I ordered the replacement socket, gave it to the tenant, and with his own basic tools he installed easily. Yes, I know that that as a landlord, I should have been the person to install it, but with the pandemic, we both agreed that it was best to keep our distance. According to the tenant, it was a quick five minute task, and it was done.

Perfect replacement part fixed my dead electric range. I thought my options were to pay an expert to diagnose and repair, if I couldn't figure out how to do it myself, or buy a new one. Fortunately, my engineer buddy suggested checking both elements because it's a common reason for failure. Turns out, both elements were fine but while I had the back cover off, I noticed the burnt wire on the light socket! So, instead of paying over $100 for a new control board or way more for a repair person or hundreds for a new range, I was able to fix it for less than $30! Very satisfied.

Very easy to install and we got our oven back!
Very easy to install. But, if you have never changed one of these out before, I highly recommend doing a YouTube search and watch a video or two on how to swap these out. Very easy but can be intimidating at first. Great quality and saved us a bunch of money doing it ourselves.
