Great for little kids

It was fairly simple set up. One of my tubes was slightly squished so had to bend to be more round so the top part would fit in. Otherwise easy to use, light, portable. Worth the money.

So small

Looks nice. Not very sturdy. Seems very small. Not good for anyone over 5 years old. My 7 year old was way to tall.

Sturdiness is lacking

Easy assembly, light weight, but doesn’t feel very sturdy.

I have a 24lb 3 year old learning how to skate and it is quite wobbly.

Awesome.

Works great. You need to use thread lock on the screws or they back out from general use. The strap for pulling could be a little longer ant have a handle. I made my own extension and new T handle. Works even better now.

Great for my son to learn to skate

This has helped keep my son in a good athletic skating position. After about 3-4 1 hour sessions with this he's getting to the point where he's close to skating without it! Only complaint is that the screws holding the cross bar together come loose easily from the motion of skating. A little threadlocker helped resolve this issue.

Even highest setting is really low

I didn't do any measuring prior to buying this trainer, but it was supposed to be for "kids" and not "babies" so I gave it a go. Construction is great and sturdy and it can easily support a kid, which is a reason I'm giving it 4 stars. Height, on the other hand, is a different issue. I bought this for my 4-year-old girl and even on the highest setting, this is way too low. Actually, on the highest setting, it fits perfectly with my 2.5-year-old kid. He will have a ton of fun learning to skate this winter, but for the next one, we'll have to find something taller. Now, my question is, for who is the low setting for, 10 months old baby? If you have a 10 months old baby that is learning to skate and needs this trainer on low setting, congratulations, you are a proud parent of future olympian :-)

Worked like a charm

Sure it’s a bit low but it’s for small children. My 5 year old used it on our frozen kale a few times and bam, he’s skating on his own. We took him to the ice skate rink and he could not get the mechanics of pushing. Used this on the lake and it worked like a charm. The ice rink skate helpers are huge and bulky, this is just the right amount of sturdy and light weight for the littles to actually move around. Will be using for our 2 year old as well great buy!

For a small child!

Read the size carefully. I did and was not disappointed. I needed a trainer for a 16 month old. The others are too big. This is perfect for a wee child. Never too early to learn how to skate!

Missing locking pins

I ordered 2 of these, one is defective. See attached pics. Instead of locking pins on the top frame, there are 2 holes. Height looks short as well. I haven't tested them out
