Nice heater BUT...
i got it because it was comparable to my Little Buddy heaters but put out more BTU's. It came damaged (second time recently from Amazon). I tried reaching out to Flame King to get the part replaced, but after two days of leaving a message they promised to get right back to me I sent a third telling them thanks for nothing I'm going back to Little Buddy. If I saw one in a store I would buy it, but not online and no expectation of customer support from Flame King.

Works great in my 5th Wheel
I bought this because my Mr. Heater was too big, 20,000 btu's. Ive been looking for a heater this size with a thermostat all winter too supplement my furnace heat. My Mr. heater would cook you out every time it came on at 15 ft away so this heater is perfect and gives me more room. I used an adapter to run it off a big tank also. I read reviews saying this heater can't be used inside. Of course it can, just use it. Unless you're using it in a small room thats airtight you will be fine. I haven't seen an airtight rv in my life. Iv'e used radiant heaters in homes for emergencies also, power outages, broken furnace, etc. All radiant heaters work the same. Some might have a low oxygen sensor is the only difference I can think of. After using the for awhile the plastic bottom broke in several places and the most the feet fell off. The thermostat or gas valve doesn't open all the way and I get a partial flame and is really loud. I have to turn it up or down so I dont have to listen to it when it sounds like a blow torch.

Right idea, just missed the mark
I figured I’d try this as an alternative to the buddy heaters I’ve used in box blinds for close to 20 years. I like the idea of a thermostat to turn heat on/off without having to move in the blind and the constant cycle from pilot to high to low and eventually back to pilot. The thermostat does work, but it apparently doesn’t open or shut quickly enough when working the LP supply - when kicking the heat on or off - it makes more noise than is acceptable in my application - it makes sort of a flutter/waffling sound as the gas supply isn’t sufficient for the heater element. A battery pack and an electric servo for the gas valve would greatly improve it. Heater throws lots of heat - build quality is a little suspect. Not what I was looking for, but it’s getting closer

Noisy
The idea of a thermostatically controlled heater is great, but as it powers down, it splutters and is very noisy. I have not seen it impact animals at the feeder, but it is distracting and I believe there is a point the animals will be scared by the noise. Heat is good and it does power down, but that is what causes the noise

Nice simple heater
This product works well it turns itself on and off as a thermostat requires. It is a little noisy or flickering sound whenever they flame shuts down and whenever the flame takes off but acceptable. I would recommend this product to others who is looking for a inexpensive thermostat unit.

Throws manor heat. Thermostat doesn't pro-form well.
Keeps my shack warm, but since the thermostat doesn't work, I have to keep turning it on and off. There is no adjustment in temperature so it is all or it nothing.

Was exactly what I needed for the fishing and camping. Has a built in shut off if it tilts or falls over, safety feature is great. Was fast delivery. Hidden propane tank area and easy to install and remove tanks.

Indoors OK for USA, not for Canada. Good alternative to Mr Buddy
The people that are leaving a 1 star review need to pull their head out of the sand. The reason it is rated for outdoor use only is because of Canadian regulations, not because of false advertising. The USA market deems this OK for indoor/outdoor use. in Canada they have to label it for outdoor use only to meet Canadian regulations. Regardless, if you plan to use this indoors you should absolutely take necessary safety precautions such as a carbon monoxide detector, ensuring it has adequate clearance, secure location and I put it in an aluminum tray or pan in case it gets tipped over, the hot grill wont touch anything. ensure some fresh air ventilation as well for solid oxygen supply. just use common sense, look up some youtube how to's Once you're past the above, it's a great alternative to the Mr Little buddy heater. thermostat function is great and i use a mr buddy adapter hose to hookup to a larger external tank. always use mr. buddy hoses to avoid wrecking your heater, the plasticers used in other hoses will destroy your heater. Good product overall. Check out some youtube reviews for more in depth detail.

Leaky, loud, poor quality.
The first thing I noticed with the unit was that the settings knob was tighter to turn for the first 2/3 of it's sweep (not overly tight) but the last 1/3 was practically resistance free. An odd feel. That first 2/3 also would probably equate to a setting of 0 degrees C, to 15C. Practically worthless as those temps would heat you to still cold. The big problems were that when the thermostat was to reignite the unit, a heavy smell of raw fuel was present beforehand for 1-2 full minutes and would then linger after ignition. This also noted by another reviewer. When the thermostat did reignite the unit, it would stutter loudly for some time (apx 3 min) before becoming a nice even burn across the plate. This would also happen on shut down. Also noticed by another reviewer. Had no option but to return.
