Work great.

I put off buying these for a long time but I finally did and they are great. I can talk to my echo Dot and turn them on and off or open the app and change the colors. I will be buying more of these. It's nice to be able to lay in bed and tell Alexa to turn the lights on or off.

Not good for touch lamps

On low setting they will be fine strobes. If your like me and you bump the lamp a lot so your settings aren’t right if you tell Alexa to turn on. But overall they pretty cool bulbs.

Works as intended

Got these because they were Alexa compatible, I've had no issues with the bulbs, gave 4/5 stars because having to download an additional junk app to get them set up is a little annoying.

Tapo bulb NOT compatible with TP-Limks KASA app

I ordered these bulbs since I have a number of TP-Link's smart devices running via their KASA app, all of which perform as advertised. I only discovered after trying to set one of these up that they aren't compatible with TP-Link's KASA app for controllong smart devices. What's worse is that after a bit of sleuthing I found that TP-Link sells KASA compatible bulbs that appear to be identical Why? The Tapo app used for these bulbs, unlike the KASA app, apparently does not allow remote access, which to me sounds like it's a dumbed down version of KASA. You would figure TP-Link would at least warn you, but no. Cost me the better part of an hour looking for a workaround, so back they go to be repaced by the KASA compatible version. I can't rate the product meaningfully except to ding it for TP-Link not flagging its lack of KASA compatibility. TP-Link needs to make it clear that their Tapo devices are not KASA compatible, but then they wouls be leaving us with the headscratcher as to why?

Great quality

We love the use of them. Use them for movie night to set the mood, they have been really fun. My daughter even changed them while away from home to mess with me… pretty cool

Great start until a power outage.

Bulbs looked like an upgrade for sure, the weight of these dramatically reduced however seems that som reliability were also reduced from previous generations. Cons: these don't work with the Kasa app. Ugh you need to download ANOTHER app to control these even though they are under the TP Link umbrella of products, perhaps a a minor inconvenience to some but just more things to log into. What's another app on your phone. The other thing that's most concerning is the fact that I can't connect to these through Wi-Fi to set up if they were reset I went through multiple iterations had to force stop the app unscrew the light bulb power cycle it back, rinse and repeat over and over until it finally connected to install three light bulbs took me well over an hour which is ridiculous went through the troubleshooting process a few times but to no avail I unplugged it cycled it ended up using a spare light bulb from the four pack. That is unreal for $40 I expect the product to work. Pros: The control and frequency of the lights are pretty cool. The color settings are neat have preset moods that's pretty much it. Advice to all, really think about "newer" upgraded versions of products and what they offer. If you like what you got and it works..I would stick with that. I'm considering returning these and buying the prior generation Kasa ones. Those are much more reliable.

Poor wifi makes for a bad experience

I bought these to work as a sunrise like a hatch alarm clock. They definitely work, the only issue is if your wifi is a little unstable they disconnect from the app easily. Also I put three into a ceiling fan light and you need to connect each bulb separately and then create a group to work together or in sync but you can’t set a sunrise or alarm or anything in a group only individually.

Durability issues

I ordered the 2-pack bulbs 3 months ago but already threw out one of them. The first one's red colour stopped working then it would not connect to Wi-Fi after a couple of weeks. The other one is already showing the signs that it's about to burn out and the red colour struggles to turn on. Sometimes red doesn't work for a few minutes then randomly switch on. My other brands of colour smart bulbs I own definately outlasted these TP-Link bulbs.

It’s alright

I’ve used other smart bulbs in the past, and these one are a little more difficult to install and set up. You have to download an app, which is a little disappointing. But it connects to an Alexa through the app and has nice colours and a good brightness. Setup is really the only thing that I didn’t like about it. Overall I’d say they’re sorta meh.

Seems Great, and I Love the colours [0_0]

Use it with Alexa routines and your golden, I use it to turn yellow with sunrise, and red for nights. Only complaint is the White light isn't as bright as I thought.
