Kept my 2 year old busy!
We got to review this gears farm toy and my Kinda loved it. At first she tried to match the colors up but once she realized that wasn't going to happen she loved taking it apart and telling me all the animals and the sounds they make. Then she loved to make it spin and move. It was great for learning animal sounds and names and a great cause and effect toy! Kept her busy so it's a win in my book ♡♡

Lots of entertainment for little ones
My 1 year old loves this toy and has spent tons of time spinning the gears. I wish the base was a little sturdier/thicker, but for the price you can’t beat this toy. Provides entertainment and you don’t have to listen to crazy noises like with other toys.

Meh
My grandson ( 14 months) loves gears, so I purchased this toy thinking it would be fun for him. It doesn’t really entertain him much. He takes the animals off of the gears and puts them back, twists the gears once or twice then he’s over it.

Fun toy
Both my kids love it (21mos and 10mos). Colorful, lots of movement, no annoying sounds, it’s a great toy.

Fun but not easy to put together, especially for small children.
Our granddaughter likes to play with it, but has great difficulty putting the animals back on the wheels. The animals just do not seem to fit easily into the recess in the centre of each wheel.

Fun for all the family
This is so bright and colourful and the concept is brilliant. Attach animals to cogs, attach the cogs to the board and turn the handle that is the barn and off you go. Simples. The animals are well-made - they feel solid enough not to break - and the colours are right for the animal, Friesian cow black and white, chick yellow, etc. They are very easy to put onto the spindles and they move well. The animals sit on the cogs and the cogs sit on the base interconnecting in places to make the whole things move. It is the placement of the animals that we had most fun with to be hones - not having the same colour touching, making the correct noises of the animals as we were putting them on to the cogs as well as naming them. For the older ones we told them that the number of letters in the animals must not be the same if they touched, and I am sure you will find your own game within the game. It is very easy to turn the barn/handle as it is large enough for a two-year-old to grab and turn, and I like the idea of not just having a normal handle, as it makes it feel more like a farmyard. It tests children’s ability to place things correctly and to follow instructions, as well as the opportunity to learn colours. It is easy to store away, as everything can be put back onto the baseboard and put into a cupboard or drawer for next playtime.

Witty and well designed cause-and-effect toy for the tinies.
Like seemingly everything Learning Resources make, a well-thought out and well made toy. The idea here is that the child assembles the splat-of-mud shaped cogs - a clever little joke - and the animals, then turns the cog assembly via the farmhouse to find out about cause-and-effect and recriprocal action. It's a simple and familiar idea in a children's toy, but the cute figures and overall quality of the design and build make it exceptional in it's erm, field. Recommended.

Super Toy
Super toy - I know one two year old who will just love this. The animals come off and have to be put back on - and the cogs and gears are great fun when they move.

Great For Toddlers
A very simple concept for a toddlers toy that works well and keeps our daughter's 3 year old absorbed for ages. Its clearly exercising her problem solving abilities while being great fun for her. Essentially all it is is a set of different coloured cogs onto which the child can attach a caricature of an animal. Then these cogs can be inserted into the base and when the child turns any cog all the others turn too. Its made of a soft...ish plastic which appears durable but with no sharp bits or edges, and nothing that could be accidentally swallowed or eaten by a young one.
